Various things depending on who you ask.
I highly recommend you don't. PvE matchmaking was already difficult enough last I played depending on your region and settings, and I severely doubt there'll be reason for that to improve long-term from now. PvP has pretty much always been a lost cause. The game does work offline but good luck trying to play with the suicidal bots.
Support was dropped about a week and a half ago. You can read their announcement for yourself here.[turtlerockstudios.com] We might get some bugfixes in the future, maybe, but new content is out of the question.
As for the Devs dropping support for the game, that's not really a big deal. People seem to forget that before all this "Games As A Service" bull crap exploded that games were sold as complete experiences that occasionally received and expansion or smaller DLC. For example, when I bought the first Kingdom Hearts game on PS2 I didn't expect DLC's or future content of any kind. It was just a fun game to play, and I would move on to something else when I was finished with it. I really miss those days.
But seriously, that game released FINISHED with all the content it needed. This ain't the PS2 days, this is the modern era where devs can update a game on the fly and add ♥♥♥♥ to it. And the content we have now? It's severely lacking.
No.
Never knew this, thank you. I'll play after I get a game pass.
I'm not going to spend money on something when the developers have moved on to a new game this quickly.
Say for an example: Even with a 75% discount, a game that is merely worth $10 would cost the player $15 because it has been marked up to $100 for no damn reason.
An example of how a co-op game should be: Just take a look at Deep Rock Galactic, where everyone sings its glories and happily pays for the DLCs in order to support the devs. You know why??? coz it has a solid regional price and player base foundation.
Also, the OP is not complaining but stating the obvious.
Stop d*ckriding companies... Players like you are the very first reason why they give us an unfinished product at a huge price.
Not that i cannot afford that. But every time i get my 60 bucks together there are better games available for less money.
So in the end i was never part of the game due to it's beefy asking price.
If you ask for 60 bucks you not only have a beefy price. It means you have to have an outstanding game to beat the competion. 60 bucks means competition on all levels this is the highest asking price class.
This game was allways sitting on mixed reviews.
Why not simply put it on 30 bucks form the go. A game like this needs a healthy playerbase. In the end the greed kills the game and as well kills any interest in future games from these devs.
