Makes me wonder, do they even enjoy games anymore or they just want to mod their favorite anime waifus into it?
After 467 hours playing this game, I want mod so there would be more maps/gun skins/enemy skins to play around. It's enjoyable but I don't think I'm gonna put more hours into it playing the same maps, seeing the same things over and over again.
When it's still supported as live service, it's only fair that they don't add mod support. But now? It's reasonable to ask for mod support.
I agree with you that updating the game in hopes of attracting people is meaningless now. Most of the negative reviews are from angry L4D fanboys or others that played on release and got frustrated with the state of the game and those people will not return no matter what. In the rare cases some of them come back and like the game. Even as they've been fixing it with updates every 1-2 months and adding new content which increases the population and then it drops, this game is no longer sustainable on it's own. There's a lot of factors that come into play here so one cannot just say that adding a couple of things will fix the game and make people join. Once the game is finished maybe they should add mod support, though I don't know if it will matter considering people use L4D as a modding game for 2$. Regardless people will hold the stance to not go back into the game because it's not exactly like what they're used to in L4D.
FROM YOU lol
But sure, focus on some anime stuff.
"Completely overhaul the gameplay" lmao
And then imagine this is a reason for some people to get angry at TRS and harass them on social media. It's insane how toxic these boards and certain other places are.
Asking for features in a civil manner should be a norm around here but sadly it is not.
Don't know what's so funny about that when these mods literally exist for a huge amount of games.
Elden Ring, for example. Skyrim. Fallout. And even L4D2 has mods that change the gameplay.
I'd really, really love for people around here to give me some arguments instead of just saying something without any further explanation.
There is a HUGE difference between creating mods with mod-tools or in general creating additional stuff for existing games and developing an entire game on your own.
Especially when talking about huge triple A studios with a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money and resources.
If they do not want people to mod their game, cool. People can still ask for it and it would fix a lot of issues people have with this game. It would attract more people, would add more replayability and bring the community back from the dead.
Anyway, none of this was the main point of my very first comment.
Most people don't actually dislike the entire game as a whole but specific aspects of it. For example the amount of content, variiety and replayability.
These things can easily be fixed by adding mod support because we all know TRS is not gonna do anything against those things.
You've failed twice today
Huh, interesting, I call BS on those people:
1. Content, we have plenty of content with the campaigns and the DLC.
2. Variety, we do have that in terms of builds, if you are referring to modes they did just add a new mode.
3. Replayability, we do have that, every missions will be different thanks to corruption cards, there's plenty of builds to play and weapons to center around thanks to cards plus cleaners with their own unique abilities. Replayability also comes from unlockables.
I mean I would understand if they want more, but reality is they make it seem like it has none. Do you get what I'm saying?
Have you played the game? Where do you stand in these 3 things?
Also what is the credibility of those most people you talk about? You have to understand this is important, after all, there's people here that don't own the game and people that only played on release that make some wild claims and what they believe the game needs. Trash has to be filtered.
I fail to see how I even failed once.
This one doesn't count obviously.
It would be great if you could start, you know, explaining yourself for a change.
Oh, is this how it'S gonna be now?
You just say "no" to everything because to you know none of these things apply?
Well good for you, Godwoken, I think we all know by now that you barely have any issues with the game and that it is, according to you, a good game.
So yeah, it doesn't matter what I say at this point.
I am simply stating what I have seen other people talk about. You do not share their view. Cool. Great, even.
Quite frankly I want to know the opinion and experiences of the person that doesn't take sides and doesn't own the game on Steam.
If we're to have this debate then we have to set some rules. What amount of these things would be preferable for you and everyone else?
How much content they/you expect?
How much variety do they/you need?
What more replayability do they/you want?
What makes they/you believe it has less?
Are you really going to dip on the first challenge?
