And ♥♥♥♥ Left 4 Dead 2, I prefer Back 4 Blood so I don't see why I should go back to an ancient game with boring gunplay and no interesting movement. I did enjoy it though, back in the day and in the years leading up to B4B's release. And don't get me wrong, both L4D and L4D2 are amazing classics but I personally moved on when B4B released.
Maybe a good thing will come out of all this: That all the L4D fanboys will finally ♥♥♥♥ off and shut up about the endless "Uhhghghhhwdhwded L4D is BetTerRrrr" bs.
If you enjoy Left 4 Dead, go play Left 4 Dead, and don't let the door hit you on the way out (not that it matters either way, this discussion board is like an empty wasteland nowadays it seems lol).
Sure it's just good and nothing compared to l4d2 but everyone who thought it could be was delusional. The missing mod/map support alone put these games on VERY different importance and replayabilty.
I bought it for 30 last sale and it is fully worth.
Not every game can be a milestone in video game history.
Sometimes "good" need to be good enough.
So the mediocre dlc, garbage pvp, horrible bots, and bugs didnt bother you? Wonder how you'll feel when they axe the servers. Hate to break it to you but it was a cash grab. Theie trello board of unfulfilled promises will soon be taken down.
Also, I play this game for the PvE, I do think the DLC wasn't good and also quite lackluster in the beginning but they really turned that around with Act 5 and especially Act 6.
And I personally don't expect them to axe the servers any time soon, maybe a couple of years after B4B2's release (but we'll see, maybe you're right, maybe I'm right). It's also the reason why I hope they will follow Left 4 Dead's template with a sequel: Just include the entire campaign, characters and weapons from part 1.
I had hopes for this game... sad to see its development ""finished"".
