Attachment swapping or removal?
Did they update the game so we can swap attachments to other weapons yet?

They put it on a card (called Weaponsmith).
  • If you do have this card
    • it costs 400 copper to unlock attachments in or outside of the safe room at any time
    • once it is unlocked, that particular weapon will remain unlocked if you keep it with you (across maps), but any new gun must be unlocked
    • anyone else who also has this card in your squad decreases the price by 100
  • If you do NOT have this card
    • it is 500 copper in the safe room only
    • once the safe room door is open, you cannot spend the 500 copper to unlock attachments for the gun, you will have to find attachments on the ground as usual

Thank you for answering the post. Was the card added automatically to our inventory or do you have to unlock it using the game currency to put it in your deck?

In singleplayer yes.
If you play with others only one need to own the dlc and you can enter it with the dlc owner.

Wrong. I don't have the DLC and I got the card before I went into coop. It randomly comes first into the row, so you could just spend its 2 skulls (Just 1 Hive). There is that mode, Trial of The Worm, which can send you to Hives, at least 6 of the 7 ones, maybe except The Nursery as it's a sub-Hive.
Good thing about the Trial is, that if you don't want to play any of the 3 maps by luck, you can just leave game and repeat the process until you get a Hive map. Up to 3 Skulls per map. Almost all DLC Campaign maps, except mb Behold The Harbinger would randomly come as well, so you can enjoy them w/out DLC.
And since you still aren't into this mode, better don't add modifiers in the beginning. It's hard to see even a single adequate player in it, better go solo, too many people rly enjoy to increase difficulty to a degree, when game goes unplayable. And u can't lower the difficulty on consequent maps. Better be careful. Horde perks are easier, if going for harder later.
In fact, the card's not a very big deal. You would often run out of cash anyway, especially on coop. A card slot and 400 Cu aren't always worth it.
