It was tested to prevent kick abuse that only if someone teamkill to much you are able to kick him.
Enough reports, and they will receive a suspension.
Such a system has existed in multiplayer games for a long time.
I know the Duo you speak of, they do it all the time, they run to the safe room, ignoring hives, secondary objectives, and leave the last 2 players to deal with the wake of ridden, and mutations their actions spawn.
And if they fire back, you can then kick them instead.
(it actually only takes 2 votes, so when playing with that certain duo, this tactic wont work)
old ass thread but yes. Another one of the many reason i support host kicking for this game.
i disagree 100%. some devs are smart enough to know how rude people like yourself constantly abuse host or votekick rights. a "host" should have no more rights than anyone else. "friends" should have no right to kick other players. if you want to play with only people you know then create a party. some auto-kick function could be added to get rid of afk players faster.
so because someone is the "host" they should have the right to kick other players you say. so how is that fair to the other players being kicked? it's just a selfish attitude. if you don't want to play with randoms then make a party. if you don't want to bother making a party that's your problem. play single player with bots if you can't be civil enough to play with randoms. being the "host" shouldn't give you any rights other players don't have and we don't need votekicking in the game. it's just a way for toxics to create problems by teaming up with "friends" and kicking everyone. i've seen it before in other games.
right now we have a game that people can easily play using quickplay and have a good time. no need to turn it into a toxic kickfest. players who want a specific group of partners can just make a party and start a game. it's easy to do if you're unhappy playing with randoms.
1. Bring up the pause menu
2. Select the Social option
3. Find your friend under B4B Friends or Xbox Friends
4. Click their name and choose “Invite to Party”
it would more likely be people being kicked by kids and toxic players that results in kids going away. you would have things like people on pc kicking anyone on console because they're usually less good and people kicking anyone with no mic and people kicking anyone who isn't a friend and people kicking anyone who said something they didn't like and the list goes on. i've seen it in other games that stupidly give that power to the host to kick or votekick on any game without a large number of people in the game. i've seen hosts act like a dictator and tell the other people on the team to do what they say and then immediately kick them if they don't. that's exactly what happens when you give the host kick rights. like my previous post said if you want to only play with people you know use the party system. you should have no right to kick other players. you can report people who are being toxic. they need to add a timeout autokick for afk players if it's not in the game already but for now you can report afk players.
