a friendly tallboy AI sounds like a more effective pipe bomb that puts up a fight, probably lasting longer with more uses as well. Might be op for running events.
Warp chests above ground just sounds like an even easier method of obtaining legendary weapons and good attachments without the hassle of inner hives. And for each level? Good lord.
Jeff seems underwhelming, as dung says it's just a more elaborate pipebomb - not exactly a reason to pick her but a nice bonus.
Hive attachments/weapons are absolutely insane and having the ability to find one every mission is worth considering her regardless if her other stats (although I do hope the bleed is half good)
idk really, having one warped chest above ground sounds awful in terms of power creeping the game. Making the game easier but at the same time removing the danger of the hives, sure hives give me in terms of chests/copper, doesn't take away the fact that all a team would need is one warped chest to start snowballing the level. Cleaner herself is bringing a passive that's going to make no hope even more trivial then it already is. A must have and dare i say"applying a method with real currency to secured a victory with little to no brain usage or danger to one self's or others on said team". One must understand that even one warped chest is too strong of a passive and should be removed for something else.
What's made worse is that the warp chests will follow the rules of the hive ones, where u can get the best weapons/attachments/ and broken op legendary weapons/attachments/accessories. We should all know how using the the Curse key is overpowered/broken and should be hard rework, given the state that it is in now. It should be limited to 3 uses then get 50% chance after that to break.
It's good don't get me wrong more chances at legendary stuff is strong - but the power creep your talking about happened 6+ months ago when they added hives in the first place.
Giving you access to 3 warped chests, sometimes 5 with the nursery from 1 mission and also letting you strategically skip hard parts of the act and leave the hive early.
Don't get me wrong it's still good, but the hives were never a threat lmao they were a blessing!
if u think about it, when hives are added to the games, parts where the team would most likely wipe due to a difficult area or event, one can bypass it with a hive(given the right chapter and location of course). Back then u had to take what u get and see if ur team was capable of beating said chapter/campaign but most people(not including loot/weapons here) use hives are free passes to avoid things that could cause a reset. Maybe the team wasn't ready for it but can now cheese it with hives.
If Tala is on the team and ur doing.. say act 1 then every chapter is a warp chest without the dangerous of a hive. A-lot of free things for something that's passive, which again should be reworked completely. Blessing to some, i would say for the bad players. Of course i speak for non abuser builds and such, people who use melee/pinata/high damage only nade builds and what was E.t5 and a.i. assist. People don't want to play the game and want to trivial everything about it cause...haha game too hard must have op builds. Sadly the full deck patch made this even more annoying then before.
Don't get me started on the currently broken Curse key legendary. Sure its random but the moment u get one, u can just say no to any form of damage you or your team takes. No Hope already got a nerf with the crates on t.5 mission so it wont be long till no hope is like nightmare either with nerfs to it or patches that add things that any monkey with a banana can pass in due time.
Is B4B meant to be taken seriously as a narrative and a world? The quirky hero banter says no, but someone commiting suicide by gun on a radio transmission says yes.
But then Jeff the Tallboy says no. I've been trying to figure out what the narrative tone of B4B is meant to be, and I feel like choices like this comboed with other narrative choices make both options lesser as a result.
This is certainly one thing that's always bugged me. The character's overall attitudes just don't match with the world they're in.
Their portrayals seem like a dramatization of the actual characters someone in their universe's far future would create based on surviving myths and legends. If that's the angle they're going for, then I think they did a pretty good job, but I don't feel that's the case.
