Buckshot Bruiser
I have recently been testing out new card builds and I use Buckshot Bruiser, I saw no additional temp health being added at all while playing through the game. Although, while playing Act Two Trailer Trash, the card suddenly seemed to start working. I even got the 'death sound' that plays when you trigger a buff while killing a ridden.
Is there a bug with this card specifically or is there something else going on that I do not understand?

It only works on a per pellet basis, meaning if a shotgun kills a common in 2 pellets then you'll only receive 0.5HP even if you shot a full 10 pellet buckshot at them. This is why it works well on bosses and other mutations, because each pellet that lands on them will not instantly kill it and you will receive more temp HP.

It just seemed like it flicked a switch and all of a sudden started to work. I have now finished that Act run and it never triggered outside that one level.

I would reduce it to maybe 0.5 THP per kill. Otherwise it's probably going to be in motolov range of THP. Free high THP without risk or wasting something seems way too good. Though it could open up the possibilities of another tank instead of just melee. Though in theory you could still gain the same THP with Face your Fears. I don't know if anyone cared to test that or maybe it isn't that good.

If you play it right then 1 temp health per kill would be a massive downgrade.

Also worth noting that if you no Sharice in your group, and no team bolstered health cards on anyone, then if you're at full health, it will have no effect.

In other words, without SOME source of bolstered health, you can't gain temp health above your max health. That can make the card look like it isn't working

Its a good card for finales, killing specials and if your the only player on your team alive

It's best on the AA12 and worst on the TAC14. The lower damage per pellet and higher rate of fire, the better

Still, the Tac14 being the best shotgun it's still great with it.
You can kill a tallboy in like 4-5 shot and get quite a heal with it

That's why shotgun "builds" works so well

it's best used against mutations or bosses. trying to stack TH from normal ridden is a waste. Furthermore, it pairs well with the AA shotgun and rushing bosses/mutations.

No lie they've got to create other weapons' equivalents to Buckshot Bruiser. For example if you're using an M1A and headshot zombies from over 20 meters that should earn you temporary health.
