Not getting the option to cash in skull totems

Ok from everything I've seen you can explore the hives and get skull totems in solo/training mode, but I'm not getting the option to cash out the totems. I'm exiting with the totems in my hand, but it goes from the screen after the exit where it shows the four cleaners, directly to the summary screen for the level I just completed and it says "Totems cashed out 0" No screen to cash out offered. Same thing four times now. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

you use totems as currency in fort hope supply lines.

Yeah I know how you use them, the problem is, I don't have any. Even though I'm exiting the hives with the totems in my hand, I don't get the cash out screen and when I get back to Fort Hope, in the supply line it shows that I have zero skull totems. I've collected like 12 of them at this point and I still show zero skull totems.

ive never done training mode, maybe u dont get points/skulls in it idk. ive done solo campaign u do get them there.

So, somehow, you're not getting rewarded for the Skull Totems you hold on to when exiting Ridden Hives.

Never seen this happen.

Rather silly question, but, does the game have a connection to the servers when you exit the hives?

I thought about that, but I've seen a ton of youtube vids on farming totems and a bunch of them were doing it in training mode.

Don't have any reason to believe that isn't the case.
