Reuse map for different Act, I keep getting confused which Act i'm in. They cheated this because of lack of content
Anyone else feels the same? Devs are so lazy

have you ever tried to actually build a game from scratch before? It's a giant black hole sucking away at all of your time on this planet. Give them a break, I think they did amazing with what they have done

Yeah they seem to reuse certain sections. I remember going through some sections and thinking "wait didnt we already go through here?" And got confused.
And the fact that the latest expansion have you redoing the same maps but now with ridden tunnels doesnt help the repetition.

Some maps get reused yeah, but I have no trouble differentiating them as they deviate with their routes or objectives in most instances.

You have 100 hours of play on record, if you can't tell the levels apart at this point I'm afraid that is a you issue.

you surviving here rebuilding not teleporting on every mission from one side of the world to another. so no shet you will go many of times from the same place. you dont go saving survivors and escorting to no hope base camp and end the level and teleport to hawaii do some cleaning 👍 in l4d you go around the world surviving and seeking shelter. on b4b you have a base you protect cleaning areas around and going to places collect resources and saving others so yeah. this campaign base more on realistic side sort of speak. i can agree at the same time its a video game and its reused alot. but yeah never had problem with that.

^ This too. The game is centered around protecting a very specific area. Fort Hope and its surrounding town. You're either out looking for supplies for this settlement or defending it in some way. It's understandable that there will be some overlap. It makes sense within the context of this title. Now if you take a game like World War Z that has you globe trotting (though not as the same group of survivors in each country) It makes more sense for that game's theme to sort of take you all over.

This comment would be fair if they were not charging £50 for it.

I kind of like the whole "you start here again, but the path's different now". Especially in Act 3, where you have 2 short levels that just make you crawl through some of the more "iconic" locales you passed through before (like that grocery store with the hostages, the gas station, or the bar), like a final look back to your travels before the last battle.

Outside of that though, the environments could use some variety IMHO. Most of the areas look pretty same-y, even though the locales actually do change. Not to mention, I think the devs painted themselves into a corner with the whole narrative driven style of the game. In L4D, they had more freedom since the campaigns are just loosely connect, if at all.

people used to pay 50$ for pong (atari), or super mario bro's 1-3 (NES), or 60$ at a bar to get drunk for a few hours. The value of any product is what ever you the consumer are willing to pay for it. Clearly at some point you thought that this was worth 60$. So you bought it. If you're dissatisfied with your own financial decisions, then respectfully said but in the future maybe do more due diligence before you make your purchases, the same way you would with buying a used car. I on the other hand still think they more or less did a great job and the game was worth the money I spent for the hours of entertainment I got in return.

Not really as it makes sense for this game. Games like Left 4 Dead have you in different areas since you're constantly on the run, and Vermintide 2 you're literally teleporting everywhere. You have a home base in B4B, so it makes sense to see some familair sights when being sent out on missions.
You could also vouch that they did it for world building.

And also some map is just run A to B then B to A (one of the map in Act II). And I work closely with game devs in the industry. Unfortunately it's a trend, it's a money grabber, like COD games cutting campaign. The QC process is rough, the goal of making a game has changed. We shouldn't give them a break because if we do, the standard of the industry will go downhill again.

True, creating games for most companies nowadays is more about the idea of profit or making money, not creating a unique or special experience. Now that dumbass executives have more power than ever in the gaming industry, profit over quality games is now the norm, as they see gaming as a business, nothing else. Which is why many indie games are being praised, as they don't have the publicity nor funding to make a sequel for the same game repeatedly while having a swarm of fanboys to buy it, and so they have to make actual good products to gather interest.

+1

I really don't understand this complaint. Is running past the same gas station outside of Fort Hope for half a minute to get to a unique map in the game so bothersome that it ruins the experience?
