I'm not sure they meant for nightmare to be do-able by just 1 person and 3 bots
I agree, I think the spawn rate is where it's intended, which is why it's not being focused on.
Not meant to be rude but, you have 14 hours in the game and with that amount of time you don't have a clear understanding of what the game is. The thing about this game it is has a learning curve for starters. Nightmare isn't made to be a walk in the park and even more so, No Hope.
Nightmare is supposed to be played with a team that understands the fundamentals of the game. You get these by completing Cas. and Vet. Cas. is used for getting your cards and gaining map knowledge. Vet. is used for testing out different builds and finding a team that runs well together. Nightmare is for a team that has set decks and knows how to operate. Also COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!! I can't stress this enough.
The game isn't going to be easy. But as you play more and smooth out the rough edges of your builds you will be able to beat nightmare, and then no hope.
For example: I have over 700 hours in the game and me and my team made No Hope look like it was on Easy. However, if we messed up (triggering something, not focusing on mutations, not communicating) it was very punishing. This is for every difficulty level there is. One mistake can break a run especially if you don't have the knowledge necessary to combat what comes. Give it time
Melee tanks bosses and hordes. You can kill a breaker with a decent melee build and common fire axe with maybe 4 weak spot hits. However, melee is a little broken so lets go off of overall damage builds.
With bosses you need a damage build. something that is going to absolutely destroy mutations and bosses. But, when you have a damage build it gets a bit tricky to have a mobbing build with it. (It is do able but you lose out on certain things needed for either)
(One thing i wish they implemented in the game was scaleability for solo play. The more people the harder it gets)
The game can still be beaten solo, but again you need to understand the game first and even more so, have the absolute meta cards (cards that are going to be a must) and then you will have to learn to play to the strengths of those card. Which will take time. Intern you wont be able to run the cards you like. You will have to run cards that are a must have.
And then he lies in his review saying the devs haven't done anything in 2 years when the game came out 7 months ago. Is 14 hours in, barely knows how to play and thinks he knows everything because he played L4D.
As for the 2 breaker boss in inner hive, just don't go into inner hive when your deck and gear is still poor, hell even the game said (optional) when you near the hive entrance, and if you are really playing solo, go in or not is fully controlled by you.
