I am having my share of fun with it and i can see it being worth half the price if it was more polished, the problem is the polishing part.
If the game was listed as Early Access and they continued to update it it would be for the best since there are some nice basis and the shooting is fun.
As i heard someone else say, i wish for example you could fist zombies while they are climbing and so on instad they have invincibility frames and idk if it's planned but it kinda goes against my mind sometimes by itself.
People saying that is the worst game are highly exagerating, shooting zombies is always fun and the special have their own taste.
It crumbles when AI starts to do weird things and animations of special mutants (especially the one that grab and the spit of another) is not the best as well as the way they run at you that feels like they have turbo under their shoes, the colossus sprinting animation is so strange to be honest.
Bosses are cool to have but they also feel like strange to play against sometimes since they are not clear on their animations, for growing comparisons the Tank in L4D2 is much simplier but still a bit stiff with his attack animation but he gets the job done, instead the Distructor here although cool jumps with floaty mechanics to you.
Also maybe a personal preference, while nice the health bar for bosses to see, it's kinda game breaking having a big red bar up your screen, maybe make it show with a card that give another benefit for your own team or some of this.
We love it. We also do not look at it as a L4D sequel or replacement, but rather, a similar game taking place in a different place/timeline.
You don't appear to own the game, why do you even care? And 3 threads about the same thing is getting old.
Shoot the nests 5 seperate times, then carry some boxes around like 2-3 times.
Repair the jukebox for 6 minutes, repair a generator 2 times.
Save some people, who don't even respond when you rescue them.
Bosses are boring, some are setpieces, but when you get to fight them to the death, more fun bullet sponge action!
And the ridden are not fun to play against, bullet sponge, no counterplay only running away.
Sometimes, there is a counter telling you when a horde is coming.
Like wtf ?
Stupid alarm doors, even on area's that don't make any sense.
No atmosphere, no decent soundtrack ingame, only boring ambient sound.
I can continue, but it's extremely boring, rushed out, pvp is allready dead, depending on the time of day I can't find players.
Leadership had all the wrong priorities.
Licence 17 songs to play on that dumb jukebox ?
Waste time on fort hope and card system, all that stuff should be done by the game director, rather than flesh out a decent pvp.
Recycle parts on the campaign.
Interestingly, many things noted here are quite similar (if not part of) L4D and yet that game still lives on!
I wonder...
yes this game could use a map pack or something for sure
