Give unlimited continues and start from any map
The single continue and sporadic checkpoints greatly contribute to the frustration of the game. They don't add any fun. Why do we have to complete 2-3 maps on Veteran before we get a checkpoint? Wouldn't it p|ss you off if you only had one continue and kept dying on the last map before the checkpoint and then you gotta go back and replay the previous 2 maps? How is that fun? How are you suppose to git gud if you can't practice on the map you need to git gud at? Are you trying to get people to rage quit because this is an awesome way to do it.

I was gonna ask if this game was supposed to be like the Dark Souls of zombie shooters but then I remembered even Dark Souls gave you unlimited continues.

Not only is it a cheap and artificial way of increasing the difficulty but it creates another annoying problem with the game: the waiting. You constantly die and get kicked back to Fort Hope and then you're waiting to find another game. You're waiting to connect to the game. You're waiting for other players to connect. You're waiting for other players to pick their cards. You're waiting on new players to watch entire cutscenes. Or you join a game with only bots so you quit and repeat the process. People hate waiting if you didn't notice, as well as all the quitting and joining.

Why do we have to potentially wait SEVEN minutes for players to connect? I spawn into the game first and the other three players are still connecting and the timer is counting down from seven minutes. Isn't that a bit excessive? And then players get four minutes to choose their cards. Who the hell needs four minutes to pick a few cards? Especially on Vet or Nightmare when we know what we want almost instantly. Are you concerned some players can only read or comprehend at a 3rd grade level so you give them loads of extra time?

Seriously, I've had players deliberately use the whole four minutes to take a smoke break. Doesn't that tell you that's way too much time? I don't know if the four minutes is in addition to the seven minutes, geez I hope not, but I could easily take a dump or shower and be back in time before the game started. This game is more like Waiting 4 Blood.

This is the opposite of L4D man. You could easily get into a L4D game and start shooting zombies. You could play on any map you wanted however many times you wanted. This needs a rethinking.

(easiest with a melee dude up front)

I don’t Multiplay, just do the game offline. But I do this with the bots. I’ll take point (no real choice about that in single player), ducking and melee’ing away, leaving them space to shoot above me.

Also interesting, when I’m holding a mission item like a large box that ties up my hands, my shove switches to the knife even though I’m not using that card AND I appear to still stumble surrounding zoms as if a regular shove is used.

Bro hoh hah hah I like it.
Man, jist give ém direct access to the Mine's Cannon. Or nah, a direct access to teh Abomination's last weakspot. Nah, let it be the last weakspot dash in Act6 lol. Let them not earn their victory, let them directly receive it lol. Then community is always gonna be happy.

Heheh, I tend to always go acts from the very beginning. Going in mid-/part of some act instantly actually leaves you less prepared.

Forums threads exist to be posted at any time, there is no need to create new ones, instead of continuing the discussion in existing one. Or do you prefer to not use e.g. toilet paper, because it was invented too long ago?

On the other hand, answers not related to the topic theme are not welcomed.

I rly like where this is going.
Tbh, if you lose a map 2 times, you can just abandon map and Act if it's up to such a point. Multi-fails just show insufficient game preparation. No need of 1000 continuees

No, I want to restart the current level until I win - changing tactics etc, this works in LFD and also could work here.

take it slow, watch your back, if you can get into a corner with ONE direction where zombies come from and kill them (easiest with a melee dude up front)
if you cant take it slow either from cards or you just bad, book it to the end

Thanks, but the question was about how to restart endlessly, not asking for a tactical advice.
jesus man, whats up with the random flaming? the ♥♥♥♥ did I do to you?

Bumping threads does in fact go against Steam's "Discussion Rules and Guidelines".

And no, I don't use toilet paper that was already used once a year ago.

I recently started playing on Vereran and still noticing the copper flows pretty dang freely. I usually max health, shields and ammo, then upgrade weapons, then buy health kits and lock picks. Finally, for the last chapter of an area, I will buy the party-wide upgrades available from the same vending box. Usually buy every purchasable card along the way in the act.

And I’m still finding I end with more copper than I can spend.

Its because you are one: its actually the difficulty or two: you are using a money deck.
In no hope without a money deck, I usually have enough money for one card.
Gotta be the difficulty.

I have a card that increases copper finds, but ditched it after my first run because copper was never an issue.
First two difficulties have bigger copper stacks.
