I'm going to try it out after I get bored with Aliens: Fireteam Elite. Which should be right...about...now. Joking, I'm joking. But that's another fun co-op shooter to try out for a bit on gamepass.
And if you really like a game then buy it on a steam sale.
A thing to note however is that WWZ had a crazy amount of grind back then. To fully unlock a class you had to prestige it 4 times, which was hundreds of hours of gameplay, and that's the only way you'd get any kind of variability between the classes since the prestige unlocked the "class specific" skills.
I have played approx 6h of WWZ and 55h of B4B.
Prestige in WWZ is not a necessary thing and it gives a minimal advantage. To fully unlock a class without prestige you need to play about 15 matches, which is comparable to 10 hours or about 4 evenings. In my opinion B4B is more grindy, because you need to unlock skill cards and it's a fully random, a lottery. You can spend a lot of your time to get a 1 rare card and it's still a question about the balance with these cards. In my opinion WWZ has more transparent progression, you can see all your progression at once and you know what your time will be spent on.
At least do your research before you spread hate, be more professional please.
Card unlocks are progressive, you unlock one after the other, there is no RNG involved.
Easy, pal, I bought it in EGS. You still can't get all the cards just unlocking them through the Supply Lines.
You can.
What do you mean you can't? I don't know what to response anymore.
Misinformation again.
If you are talking about the cards you found during missions? Those are active only in that mission, you buy them with money you found in that particular run, and then they are added on top of your pre-built deck, for the use of that run only.
Treat them as resources like med kits and ammo, they do not count towards your main progression.
And yes those cards and be found in supply lines as well.
Unless they changed it, the progression isn't really as transparent. For example the prestige class skills are hidden until you prestige, which is wierd.
You can't, there's cards that are tied to doing things in game. Most obvious ones being the weapon cards you get for getting enough kills with each class of weapon.
Forgot those. But my point still stands.
The guy I was replying to said the cards we unlock is RNG based, which is completely false
The cards you get in supply lines is RNG isn't it? (I had assumed so but I don't actually know.)
