talking about teammates and blaming teammates is toxic and scrub sentiment and should be jettisoned immediately. no one gits gud when everything is the fault of other players. you play well enough you win.
talking about "cheese", especially in a game like this? what do you think this is? an rts or something? what a scrub sentiment.

"because i only play with randoms i don't "know the mechanics".
lol what a deflection. i never said anything about you needing good teammates, that's you using that toxic excuse of blaming others for your own failures.
all of my friends quit this fundamentally flawed game in october soon after beating nightmare. I played on for weeks and have gone through nightmare like 10 times, and all of it was playing with bots and carrying dead players, very few players who could stay alive long.
"let's just agree. an "all-rounder" build is fine,
the main thing is being good at the game, and if you're good at the game you recognise what matters and vary it - unlike your very poor advice of taking health and damage resistance cards (jeez, the solution to getting hit is to try and mitigate the punishment of getting hit a bit?? No. The solution to getting hit is TO STOP GETTING HIT. What a sentiment from an appropriately named person/)
The game is mostly moving and killing, and so you want cards that help you move and kill, and killing with guns is good, killing with melee is good, melee is great defensive weapon that efficiently quickly both defends you from and deletes commons when you get into those make or break most desperate situations - so a bit of melee is really good, and a bit of melee is the most 'all-round' thing if there is an 'all-round' thing.
without melee you must lean harder into other survival techniques of moving away very quickly with extra-extra-move speed, regularly moving away quickly with extra stam regen, moving away greater distances with extra-extra stam etc.
melee balances it all out.
a bit of melee is the way to be versatile, to have that powerful defensive to fall back on, to compensate your some move speed, but not too much, your some stamina, but not too much, your some firepower, but not too much, your some accessory, but not too much.
melee-lite is what brings all this together and makes an actual all-round build.
or baiting the ogre in tunnel while others wait in the saferoom ledge.
or placing all the shells by the cannon before starting the act 1 finale.
then there's "cheese" jumping out of bounds so you don't do a section.
dropping grenades to duplicate them to endlessly blow up anything remotely challenging.
taking all movement cards and hoping you make it solo.
jumping over the fence in quarantine so you don't have enemies for the first 2 minutes.
they literally kill me
kill themself
run off ahead
taking over a bot mid-fight, going down and leaving
or leave immediately because of the corruption cards we got...
it's literally them that is the problem in a game that requires at least a small amount of teamwork to succeed.
that would be exploiting a broken game. none of it will really help you because the problem is the likes of broken bird and t5, not road to hell or cabins lol. road to hell and cabins are 2 of the easiest maps in the game.
good. more difficult circumstances make you better at the game and figure out what works and doesn't. blaming teammates is toxic scrub sentiment.

from there you can just take whatever specialty cards you want. doesnt really matter. these cards are so you are set in terms of money, healing and damage to specials. everything else is secondary.
