not ruling out people making offline mods somehow.
It's very simple to enable the crossplay funtction for official stuff, and disable the function for community stuff.
when the DLC comes out, people are gonna complain about long matchmaking because map/level content isn't going to be a free update. OR they'll complain about never getting DLC content (if they don't split matchmaking)
It'd require Valve to integrate Steam into consoles officially, specifically for Xbox and Playstation which are 2 different consoles. That would take ages, and it would be costly.
This was the question. Not what's good or bad at workshop or sdk.^^
Their official statement was "Not at this time." but I don't see that changing in a few years at least.
It's no question if steam workshop will be integrated to consoles or not.
More important as to enable crossplay at any cost is: Have enough players in general.
The playerbase currently is dropping very fast. And i don't see any reason this will change. Crossplay or not.
But sdk and workshop could change this. At least for pc.
The good mods/maps could be officially integrated for console users too... wouldn't be difficult, wouldn't be anything new and won't need steam workshop.
.....and freaking delete it. What is happening is the game is trying to load save data from Steam (which there is none) instead of the Mod Loader (which is actually saving things properly). Useless freaking folder.
