Humble Bundle fails to boost player count
I think back 4 blood is one of the better games in the entire bundle, and arguably the best multiplayer game in the bundle, and yet even on the weekend we are not seeing a correlating boost in player counts.

Either I am delusional in my opinion of B4B or... Elden Ring really is eating everyone's lunch (or the steam community is just a dead wasteland for multiplayer games like i'm always saying). Can anyone else offer their expert analysis?

A lot of people just claim the keys and don't actually play the games. I mean it's 36 games or something. Were you really expecting gamers to jump onto Back 4 Blood en masse?

Way more than 36. There was 123 items in the bundle and 29 of them were DLC/software/books. So there was almost 100 games total

I gave away 90% of it and I do plan to play this, but its low on the priority list from some of the other games that suit my preference more. Hate to break it to you but Left 4 Dead just isnt that fun to alot of people anymore. The gameplay loop is kinda eh.

"left 4 dead just ins't that fun to alot of people anymore" 16k playing and 26k hour peak a game that came out in 2009, literally more than a decade ago compared to bfb a game that recently came out 2.6k playing and 3.9k 24 hour peak.

i remember everybody saying how this game killed LFD2 LMAO and how B4B had more people playing. now several months later the game is practically dead.

I actually can't decide if I should get the bundle or not. There are at least 5 games that I care about and I already own 2 of them. While I do agree that this game is the highlight/the best in the bundle, it is not one I want. I would barely look at it if I were to get it since I don't have anyone to play with. Already tried this during the beta and it was a pretty meh experience.

I´m in the same boat, have some games in the bundle and a lot of the rest are strategy or roguelikes which I don´t tend to like a lot......and I don´t think b4b worth it.

I can´t make up my mind.
For anyone who's skeptical about buying the bundle btw Satisfactory alone makes most of the cost of the bundle easily worth it, game is amazing. First week buying it I already had 78 hours

Yeah I ended up picking it up. Sadly it says they are out of keys for b4b so you can´t play it rn.

It says that they key will be available as soon as they have new keys. Never experienced such a thing with a humble bundle game tho.

I can't activate the game key due to how restrictive the region lock for this game is and probably another reason why. I checked steamdb and the game has 22 different subID all with different combination of region locks.

The whole point is to donate money to help Ukraine. Think of the games as just a bonus.

I'm tired of people using this as an excuse.
90% maybe even 95% of people use Humble Bundle as a source for cheap video games for a sweet deal. The charity is just a side piece.
There are other ways to donate directly for the cause. I can guarantee you that most people that are buying the bundle mostly care about the games. The charity is something nice. But they just want good games. Which is why I'm not even buying it; only thing worth it for me is Back 4 Blood. But for $40? I own everything else. They should've changed the paywall by making tiers then they could've made even more money for the charity. Something like this only makes them look good, it is IGN after all.

And I can easily buy anything but the bundle itself and choose one of the 4 mentioned charities as my preference and crank up the slider to the max. It won't be completely 100% cuz of tips but it's still something.
