Save file from Microsoft Store vs Steam
So i've been playing the game with GamePass but since my subscription is expiring, i was wondering if i bought it on Steam, would i still have all the progress i made? Since you have to login to a secondary account, i assume the save is synced via that?

Anyone know for sure?

Best I've got is that I heard of somebody transferring their beta progress via game file copying, but I doubt that was proved to be anything more than a rumor.

No the game does not have cross progression so you would have to start over again if you bought it on Steam.

Just buy it through Microsoft if you want to keep your progress. It's the same price...

It's £10 more expensive on MS Store though.

That must be regional or something, it's the exact same price for all three editions on both stores for me. And, if you got GP Ultimate for your trial there's no reason to buy B4B Ultimate that I've heard of since you already have the skins so it's Deluxe for Game + Annual Pass or just base game if you don't want the Pass...

Yeah must be a region thing in the UK. All the packages, normal, deluxe and so on are all +£10 over the Steam store. Pretty disappointing.

Yes they should really implement cross progression, this is urgent. Many people use game pass trial for testing and it's a huge letdown if they'd need to start all over.

It's very unlikely to happen at this point. This is something that would have been easier to implement prior to launch as it relates to how you log into the game itself, not just how your game is saved. Basically the easiest solution for what people are wanting in this thread would have been to require everything to be tied to a TRS (or WB) account that could be synced cross platform using the clients.

It's not impossible for it to happen, but there's not a whole lot of upside to them doing it now when the game (at least where I live) is the same price everywhere and all the clients talk to each other.

That said, if you really want to see this posting here about it isn't the way to get that info into the hands of TRS. Using their feedback form is a much more likely way to get the Devs to seriously consider any suggestions (or constructive critical points) you may have.
