when i play with bots, specials just melt. Im not sure if the game reduces enemy hp with less players, or if It's that the bots have god aim and never miss. But when i play with players the specials are bullet sponges that take a month to kill.
The most important thing in this game is positioning. Like in L4D or any horde game, if you are able to funnel enemies into one choke point and not leave yourself out in the open to get surrounding. The difficulty of veteran goes down enormously.
wonderful
everything is fixed thank you for saving the day
Give it time and people will be enjoying the difficulties they don't quite grasp just yet. I even said as time goes on you will start to see even NM become easier for the above average joe team.
There still is around 0.2% in both NM completion of A1 and 54,000 ridden killed on this platforms collected data alone. That in itself explains a good chunk for the person with half a noodle in context to amount of time played and personal experiences seen in the game to learn from.
No, you can go full Medic, Scav or any like build and still get through with Random's today. Practice a bit, learn from your mistakes or ask some questions here and actually be constructive about the feedback.
There is always something happening that isn't correct if you are getting demolished on Vet with anything other then a Melee build after the first few maps when it gets more meaty. Communication is key and this includes during the Buying Phase.
Recruit-Melee
Vet-Melee
NM-Melee
and it plays out for each weapon/spec type I like.
-> Melee/Sniper
-> Melee/Shotty
-> Sniper /w Mag
-> Shotgun /w DE usually
-> Assault Rifles
-> Medic
-> LMG's
Still need my Explosives and Firebug setup but in time.
While not all have three difficulty builds just yet [LMG/Medic are lacking still] each difficulty free's up extra cards or requires another depending on what I am doing. When I join a Random Game and it's Vet or Nm before I even select a Cleaner I ask or wait to see what others play too.
Anyway, my AR build depending will have True Grit for HP Regen. That is honestly all I have needed. This goes into Vet just fine also. Short of seeing game play it is hard to assume anything. I personally find that I when I do get tickled by something it is more then not a Common Zombie and Grit often proc's off of it in Vet+
You will have to understand too that you can usually tell how your team is within the first half a map. A team that is lacking in quick aim, awareness of alarms and in general spacial awareness of their surroundings can lead to any build you create having issues as you get pummeled over and over while you are still stuck with a Grey Weapon and no Extended clip or whatnot. Which is why that Melee build appeals so much to you.
Things like Hunker Down would work as you will be using Down in Front! anyway if there is a melee or just automatically in most public matches. I use those both on Vet+ with the AR build. It helps with things like Spitter damage too if you are slow on the draw to kill it.
My fav AR based on most use is probably the M4 for jack-of-all trades. But that Ranch Rifle is growing on me thanks to the M1A and the multi-shot precision it gives.
