Is melee op?
So far of all the decks iv made, it seems to be the strongest.
Made a deck, with Meth Head, Mean Drunk, Berserk etc in my deck.

Usually get twice as many kills as other players. With a machete i chop up ridden faster then a Machine gun can and I pretty much never run out of stamina.

God forbidd if i get a two handed axe. 1 or 2 hits on a tallboy and its dead.

So i'm wondering, is it too strong?
Almost feel a bit unfair, compare to all other range characters that struggles way more.

Melee is certainly very strong. Its biggest weakness is that certain corruption cards mess with it pretty bad and the damage output on nightmare is so high that it can struggle to stay alive.

I would say it is quite OP for Veteran specifically. It's probably "balanced" on Nightmare.

Melee is mediocre early on in a run - but unlike other combat methods, it has so many strong/viable cards that it continues to scale later and later into a run while others fall off.

It is however very prone to issues with corruption cards and struggles severely early on into Nightmare, as Terotrous says above.

N.B. Please note that common kills is really not a good indicator of being 'better' than another build. Utility counts for a huge amount in a team game, and you're leaving nasty gaps in your group's positioning whenever you run off to go melee things. You're also a huge pain in the arse to play with on any difficulty above recruit, basically forcing everyone to crouch any time they want to fire their guns because they have no way of knowing when some crazed redhead with an axe is going to sprint into their crosshairs.

Going melee means the rest of your team will push you to the front, you will be a tank and meat shield.

Yes. A well built, well played melee on a good team is OP and most likely a necessity on nightmare.

It requires teammates to work with you at least a little above recruit, unless the corruption cards are stacked against ya then good luck XD

Melee is very frontloaded with large damage boosts, hp, survivability, etc. It doesn't even take too many perks to ensure you're capable of swinging a weapon well enough to make it a good backup plan, and there are two characters that are decent picks for it. On recruit you'll feel like a god, and on veteran you'll still be able to do well enough with a decent team.

melee is one of the best if you know how to use it and if your teammates know how to play with a melee in the team which is usually not the case with randoms they prefer to shoot everything themselves and then the melee is just in the way for them for friendly fire

A lot of builds can feel OP. Weakspot builds, melee builds, reload speed builds (affects fire rate for semi-auto weapons), run speed builds... So, the answer to your question is yes. The farther you get in an act, the more ridiculous your build can be if you're stacking particular stats.

Best horde clear
Best single target
Highest damage boosts from cards with the easiest conditions to meet
Most damage boosting cards
Nearly every card has two boosts instead of a boost & weakness
Highest durability
Free healing
Free temp hp for your entire team
No ammo concerns & can completely ignore downsides like -ammo or no ADS
No need to spend copper on weapons, ammo, healing or attachments

It's the best thing in the game by an extremely large margin. It's overpowered and I'd expect a nerf.

Heck, the self-healing and temp health per kill (from two perks with no drawbacks for melee even) are strong enough. Buckshot bruiser has issues with pellets not counting if stuff dies too easily, and Overwatch expects people to be away from everyone else in a game where certain specials can grab you, glue you in place, or explode on you and draw a horde right on top of you.

But melee? Nah, just kill ♥♥♥♥, kill ♥♥♥♥ harder, and kill ♥♥♥♥ within 2m. Wanna benefit from 15% more damage resistance? Take Numb, have it practically all the time because melee.

To some extent true. But overall melee has more cards that scale its effectivness then lets say a weakspot or reload build can.
Cards like mean drunk gives 75% more dmg and more AoE. Sure it has a drawback on it. But that combined with attackspeed cards you can kill Tallboys faster then any AA12 user can.
While also be able to deal with hordes of ridden, regain health not to mention you have never any downtime reloading. And you dont need ammo.

Now i havent played on nightmare, but in Vetran it seems crazy good.

If only you had 3 teammates, a character or card designed to break out of pins, an entire quick item that melee characters love designed for just this, or I don't know, a primary weapon that shoots bullets?

What about 2 hockers?

I'm messing with ya. Melee is the meta. But nightmare requires some ranged solutions too. Veteran, everything goes.
