Thanks for your answer, I've already done all this and the game was working quite well a few days ago but now it becomes unplayable (I'm in act 3). I also restarted my connection but it did not change anything. What is incomprehensible is that I run big games like GTA V without too much trouble, while they are just as greedy.
No I don't use any such software, I just used the steam overlay to see my fps in the lobby and during a game. Then I have the NitroSense from Acer which allows me to see the temperatures.
Its also normal to get more fps in the empty Fort than when being swarmed etc.
Indeed there is more detail on the screen, but as I said, I was able to play it correctly a few days ago and especially I had no problems for the beta at this level (perhaps also explicable because the game was incomplete and therefore less demanding in resources).
Concerning my components, here they are (it's an Acer AN515-54-5137 laptop:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8300H CPU @ 2.30GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
64-bit operating system, x64 processor
Graphics Card Model
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
Graphics card dedicated memory
6 GB
SSD storage capacity
512 GB
Memory size (RAM) Installed
16 GB
Maximum Installable Memory
32GB
Type of installed RAM
DDR3
I may have misspoken but in my sense I wanted to say that I had not installed anything more than I already have. The fps via steam are integrated in the overlay and the nitro sense is delivered with the pc (there is even a touch dedicated to that).
I thought I read that this happens to several people but it seems very random... some have nothing (even with a modest config) and others really lag. There is also a correlation between mouse DPI and fps drop in game and I heard that some people managed to fix it by changing them in their interface or turning off their "Razer Cortex" process in the task manager (for those who had a Razer)
Oh no, another problem with Steam? I'll be tempted to do the same, but considering my connection, I'll have to redo everything in a day... On the other hand, it's "reassuring" to see that the problem is not only present here.
Yes, because it's the internet. Many people don't have a clue and are trying to run games on a potato/virus infected laptop. And post about their issues.
Your specs seem OK, and you should be able to run the game OK at high settings.
I'd advise to check temperatures (HWmonitor) on your rig plus antivirus/antimalware check.
That's the problem, I have a good PC (although it is not optimal) that was running the game correctly during the beta and now I find myself between 15 fps and 30 fps during my games (so it's unplayable) ... while a week ago the game was running correctly (despite some lags). My game is not even in high or ultra that's the worst!
Concerning the temperatures, here they are (when the game is launched and i activate the "high performance" option too):
92-93°C CPU
82-87°C GPU
I also did a cleaning via CCleaner (but after testing in game it did not change much) and for my anti-virus it seems to have found nothing. I really don't get it x)
Wow, here is your issue !
They're too high and CPU+GPU are throttling.
You're sure you only have the game running and no other stuff ?
It doesn't look right ...
