.... You really don't understand the problem if you think this is correct. Valve/Steam caused the issue not Turtle. You are blaming the wrong party. But I don't think most people posting here actually care and just want to be angry at the easy target.
Maintenance was done by Valve, not Turtle. Issue was with authentication system(what allows you to play without making a account with Turtle, using just your steam account). Console worked just fine, proving the servers themselves were not in maintenance mode. Other games like Apex, Dead by Daylight and others all reported identical problems with steam authentication. Apex wouldn't login with steam, but would with Origin.
Saying Valve should allow for refunds... when valve caused the problem.... is honestly kinda hilarious. You legit want the people who caused the problem, to punish the victim party. Instead of taking it out on the guilty party.
