Anti cheat violation

Restarted my game about 15 minutes ago and come back to not being able to get into a game due to a "anti-cheat violation". Hoping this is some kind of bug / joke.

can you please upvote the bug here: https://back4blood.bugs.wbgames.com/bug/B4B-80 and provide any information that you find relevant? i haven't been able to play the game i paid 100$ for yet due to the same error :thumbsup:

Don't worry about it, this used to happen to me all the time with easy anti cheat on Dead By Daylight, it's just not agreeing with some background task on your system. You won't get banned they'll just be a ♥♥♥♥♥ about you launching the game until you figure out what's causing it.

the problem comes because their system will not tell you what they think is violating the system (which only hurts innocent players; cheaters would already know what's violating it..) so there's no way to identify what is incorrect

This happened to alot of people during early access, simply restart Steam and it should fix it

i was able to play with no problems during beta, and I have tried much more than just restarting steam to get this working, not to mention any other EAC game works just fine for me

Different games can be set to look for different things, those definitions also can be updated so if they are using an older version or a version looking for something specific you might not have issues on other games

yes, I've tried closing just about everything I can see with no luck.. no reason for this game to limit anything more severely than an actual competitive game, anyway

Hey Waste, it might help if you add a comment saying you can reproduce in the bug thread: https://back4blood.bugs.wbgames.com/bug/B4B-80. They've reached out to me at this point to get some files from me related to the EAC install on my PC to help investigate, so adding a comment there would likely help them reach out and see if there are similarities between various customers

Played the game for a few days. But now it shows me this "anti-cheat violation" message. Tried rebooting the PC, updating everything that could be updated, reinstalling "easy anti-cheat" - game still not working.

The game is retroactively checking all the times you've ever cheated. You shouldn't have copied those answers off your buddy's test way back in 1st grade because now it's come Back 4 Blood.

Remove any hardware monitoring programs you have. I have to close iCue, Asus Aura, and EVGA Precesion X1.

Just a note here, I run iCeu and MSI Afterburner and neither cause a problem for me.

Restarting the router fixed this issue for me.
(turn off the router, wait for about 5 minutes, turn on the router)
