Easy Anti Cheat "Violation" - Unable to play multiplayer

Hi, Installed the game today and got the following error message when trying to create a multiplayer game or quick joining and existing game:

"Online games are unavailable because your game has an anti-cheat violation"

I have restarted my PC and verified my game many times through steam but it still does not work. Just wondering if anyone is having the same issue or if someone knows how to fix it?

EasyAC looks to be a few months outdated. They don't have Back 4 Blood or Windows 11 listed on their support page. Here's there support ticket page too: https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/game/contact/tech/

I have read that some antivirus causes this. Maybe your anti virus updated and probably needed a whitelist or something. Maybe compare Anti virus softwares to see if that is the issue.

maybe try to repair EAC -> It has a setup file in the game folder to do this.

Hey sorry, I am not using any antivirus and have disabled windows defender antivirus and windows firewall

Hi, the version of EAC used in B4B doesnt allow repair. If you try to launch the setup it doesn't aloow you to do anything (a window just appears and disappears).

I'm not accusing but are you possibly using a trainer? If you are...you cant start the game using one and then play multiplayer. WeMod for example. If you start the game with B4B executable its should work fine.

Hi, thanks for your response, but this issue has nothing to do with using cheats/trainers/hacks. It has been narrowed down to hardware changes that cause the EAC software to think that cheats are being used. Just need to wait for the developer to release an bug fix.

Do you have another game that has EasyAntiCheat that is running? black desert online has easy anticheat and if i minimize black desert and try to run B4B, it wont let me.

This is the only game I am having EAC issues with. My Plants vs Zombies and Insurgency Sandstorm run fine with EAC,

Thanks but the game was working for me until it suddenly wasnt. I have no antivirus/firewall and windows defender antivirus is disabled, as is windows firewall.
