your firewall is blocking Steam's API from being able to access some files, check your firewall settings to ensure that all Steam services can access files, if this does not work right away try restarting Steam

I see you're in-game. How did you get it back up and running?
I played this afternoon without any troubles then stepped away from the PC.
When I came back to play just now, this problem started without any settings being changed. Strange to say the least.

same problem here, also easy anti-cheats is giving me "untrusted" problems with steamcliente64.dll
PHail Oct 7, 2021 @ 5:41pm
reinstall steam that fixed it for me

ok, i leave the steam beta program and the game started

I'm not in the steam beta program, and tried all the option above, including verifiing game files, easy anti cheat version of B4B still does not trust steam itself.
This better be fixed before the weekend, otherwise I cannot see the benefit of buying the max version. I'll prolly cancel preorder.

I know what it was, steam beta client.

I experienced a new problem though, FMV's have no audio, and my game crashed during an FMV, too.

Same issue. Tried everything already mentioned plus running as admin, etc.

Still having the error.

Had the game running fine earlier but now am also encountering this error non-stop. I initially was in the beta program but even with that turned off, I'm still receiving the error message. Tried a suggestion of deleting steamclient64.dll and restarting but no dice.

Im just now getting this I left for work after playin a bit came back and I have the same issue now none of these solutions are working I think its internal at this point and we need a hotfix asap.
Chongo Oct 7, 2021 @ 6:34pm
Probably not the solution but I'm going to try installing the game on my C drive instead of D.

echoing this problem, disabling steam beta did not fix. Was fine 4ish hours ago and I come home to find this. big sad :(

That fixed my issue... temporarily, but now my non-beta Steam is today's build and throwing the error again. I had the same FMV issue, no audio and the game crashed every time one finished or was skipped.
