Buying on steam and playing with microsoft friends?

This might have already been answered but im tempted to buy into the EA for this game - but if I buy it on steam and my friends get it on the Microsoft game pass can we still play together?

dont quote me on this as i am not sure, but i read somewhere that it was multiplatform, IF someone would be kind enough to confirm my assumption, the OP in here would be glad

The game has crossplay and a Ingame friend system similar to rocket league

If you take as "true" what a Moderator said here (cant find the message), YES. But in the microsoft page, is not clear enough (at least for me).

yes you can. tried under the beta. you get a uniqr "battletag" when you logg in for the first time, share this to , epic , micorsooft ,ps5, xbox and you will team up

Yeah I bought the ultimate edition and can't wait to play with my friends again! Not sure what you mean exactly by Microsoft friends but I was on PC and my friends have Xbox and we had no issues playing! Even met some PS5 noobs

Played co-op with my friend on Xbox Series X.
Steam supports cross play with Playstation, Xbox and PC.
Yes. Steam players will be able to play with Xbox game pass players.
