How many members of the Development team worked on Left 4 Dead?
I'm curious if we know how many people working on this game worked on the original Game(s)

I heard none of them. Just the studio with different people, also saw someone point out the developers here are young and would have to have been like 10 to have worked on L4D. Could be all BS though.

I've seen one picture that seemed to be a shot of all the female employees, but I didn't get any context. They all appeared really young.

Not that young people can't make good games, but having people who worked on a game and knowing what worked in that game is really helpful when making a spiritual successor.

Might explain why they didnt want to remake popular parts into this title. If none of them have the experience from the first titles. Yeah its a wait and see for me. Lfd 2 is a revered game title, this crew has some serious shoes to fill.
7 of the original team, they brough on 121 new members to help

Where did you read this? I heard none of the original team too. It makes sense as It was only a very small group originally anyway with most who worked on the game coming over from Valve. Then most of them left for Valve afterwards.
Seeing photos of their current staff, most of them would have been children and even Mike Booth was already gone a decade ago so It's just the studio name that's left from back then.

It all just sounds like WB cashing in on the Turtle Rock name who in turn are cashing in on the L4D name.

It was either zero or one guy I can't remember. But 99% of the devs on B4B were like 10 years old when Left 4 Dead was made.

if this is true its very big news, because they are saying on all their ads that "Back 4 Blood is a thrilling cooperative first-person shooter from the creators of the critically acclaimed Left 4 Dead franchise"

could lead to false advertisement

Wait for the AngryJoeShow review

They even allude to the Ogre being manipulated by the "AI Director" we know for a fact this isn't the case, every event spawn is scripted

TurtleRockStudios did this to themselves, again

Went to a big publisher to get a big payout and rushed unfinished out the door, underdeliver and notoriously gut and remove features before sabotaging their own good product

Damn, I'm a huge fan of Evolve, one of my favorite games. But this is so fishy: the name of the game suggests that this is the succesor, yet the main feature of the series is thrown away. And now this "from creators", which looks like a total lie. Why these creators are not in the trailers? Even one-liner from any of them would be enough, like "Hey, I'm Fred Fuсhs, lead game balance designer, who worked l4d". And now think about it more: "from creators" who didn't implement VS Campaign.

Lol Angry Joe is a horrible reviewer. His reviews are worse than IGN's. Absolutely no one should listen to Him or anyone on his team.

When a developer goes out of it's way to advertise it's "le epic stronk womyn devs" instead of making a good game, you can expect a bad product

From what ive read into, there were about 6 employees that left Valve South at the time they split and reformed as Turtle rock studios
This split happened after the original Left 4 Dead shipped out

They were acquired by valve initially with the intention to help their push into the console market
They were seemingly console porters and potentially helped build assets/maps
They were not the creators, they were hired help
The main team was all valve

This all strikes me as extremely misleading advertising...
