wasnt the VIP unlocked when we had to go to the meeting during the night about the message received , is it just for that one

I wondered the same thing. I just completed first time yesterday, and I'm someone who takes their time, so regularly went everywhere and talked to everyone I could each day,

Never seen the VIP open, never had anything come up related to the observatory.

Also no idea how the scoring works, as the games don't seem to give you an actual score while playing!

So did I just miss some things somewhere, or are some of these for future DLC or perhaps cut content?

I get some things, like the PDA addons and ship control panels are there to just be deliberately obtuse and confusing as its part of the game world, but it does bug me how there was defiantly something hinted at with the call to Dr Computer being some greater thing that the CEO/All Water answers to, but then never followed up. It bugs me to no ends when games do that.

The observatory could be cut content, same as the VIP tube, or maybe it was just there for show.
