The game in general looks fantastic, and most rooms run buttery smooth. We are now at the point when in-game engine can look better than the cut scenes depending on the settings.
Anyway, this is the kind of issue that can be fixed before release.
Some tips to get the best visuals (as of now) for the demo:
1. Switch upscaling from DLSS to STP to reduce smearing
(Unity native upscaling method, gives better quality than DLSS)
2. Disable HDR
3. Disable Dynamic Resolution (if you have a beefy machine)
4. Turn off Vsync if you experience stuttering in character movement
5. Reduce the Fog Settings to Medium (big boost on FPS, no real visual difference)
Thanks for reply, appreciate it. Will continue the demo with some of these suggestions!
I have the newest graphics drivers for my 4060Ti and a fast M2 SSD, so I expect many affected people, even with good machines.
The Vsync has absolutely nothing to do with the traversal stutters. (confirmed running both off and on)
They're also not shader stutters, they're loading assets too fast and the game doesn't keep up.
Would adding super sampling solve this issue? (I know there's more to it).
Currently, the base resolution is capped to my monitor's resolution.
