Performance tips
This is a short guideline to help you increase your performance in Space Company Simulator.

1. Integrated video card
One of the most frequent reasons for performance issues is running the game using an integrated video card. It happens automatically on specific configurations, like notebooks with switchable graphics processors.

If you have NVIDIA graphics card:
  • First, set scs.exe to run automatically with your dedicated video card. If you are using Nvidia card, click RMB on your desktop and click “NVIDIA control panel”.Go to “Program Settings” tab in the “Manage 3D settings” section and select scs.exe from the programs list.
  • If scs.exe is not visible in this list, click “Add” icon to the right and find scs.exe in the installation folder. Now click “Select the preferred graphics processor for this program” and select “High-performance NVIDIA processor”. Now apply the changes.
  • Go to “Adjust image settings in preview” in the “3D settings” tab in NVIDIA control panel. Select “Use my preference emphasizing:” option and set it to performance.
  • Go to “Global Settings” tab in the “Manage 3D settings” in NVIDIA control panel. Select the “Power management mode” and set it to “Prefer maximum performance”.
  • You can also select the high-performance video card by clicking RMB on the scs.exe file. Next, hover your cursor over “Run with graphics processor” line and select your dedicated video card.
If you have AMD graphics card:
  • First, open Radeon Settings application and select "Gaming" tab.
  • Now click "Add" button in the top right corner of the application's window.
  • Click "Browse" to search for the SCS executable file.
  • Select scs.exe file and confirm it.
2. Computer energy settings
Go to Settings ––> System. Click Power & Sleep and select “Advanced power settings”
Now select the “High performance” power plan. Next click “Check plan settings” to open the Power Options and make sure that the Maximum Processor State is set to 100%.

3. Update your graphics drivers
Some of our players reported greatly increased performance after updating their drivers, so be sure to do this before playing!

4. Manage good temperature
It is mainly related to notebooks. Some gaming variants do have additional cooling, which could help with keeping the hardware at good temperature. When components get too hot, you might get some trouble when playing games. So if you have a way to maintain a better temperature - do it.

5. SSD
If you have SSD drive you should consider placing your steam games on this drive as it will allow you to run them much faster then from HDD drive.

Additionally, if you experience the performance issues, we'd kindly ask you to let us know what's your GPU and its VRAM.

The Nvidia Graphics control panel doesn't have the function below in the Program settings.
I'm using Global settings for the Program setting.
At least its not on my 1050 FTW card 2GB

"Now click “Select the preferred graphics processor for this program” and select “High-performance NVIDIA processor”.

Ever since i updated to the 9.412 patch. i been having antialiasing issues on the space port layout with shimmering. The roads, buildings, trees look a mess.

It would still be of more use if we could tweak graphics settings ourselves in the options menu ingame

Performance tips
The Pinned:Performance tips above were suggested before patch 0.9.420 came out.

If you set up a "Program setting" for Space manager program it might not be compatible with the patch.

I had graphic problems (I have a geforce card by the way) so i deleted the Space manager "Program setting" and everything is better, There is a little shimmering, But other then that everything seems ok.
