Censorship and game length question
I know ArcSys' official statement is that the game "is not censored" and the PC, PS4, and Switch versions are all the same. However, when playing the PS4 demo version, I noticed that while male characters are stripped nude upon defeat, the female characters are left in their underwear. Is this a limitation of the demo, or something that remains true through the whole game?

Additionally, at least in the demo, huge swaths of the story are skipped and the actual number of fights in the story mode seems to be pretty small. How long is the story, how many fights are there? I know it's probably not an especially long game, but if I was dropped in at the start it seems like it couldn't be more than 3-4 hours long at best.

Well, I probably suppose its something along the lines of the demo, however, I don't think that's the case. If anything, its just the camera work when the characters perform the Fiber Lost finisher.

So...to be straight, in modes where you can perform the Fiber Lost finishing move (like in VS, for example), the opponent does get stripped to nothing after defeat, but its not full frontal, usually in a sideway view. That goes for both the male/female characters.

However, that's a little different in the story mode. Without going into spoiler territory...Ryuko, Satsuki, the Elite 4 and Iori are in their UW in the story scenes, I suppose for obvious reasons, I mean, its not like you'd really want to see them in the birthday suit all the time, however, the exception I suppose is Ragyo. I think there's 10 chapters for both Satsuki and Ryuko's story, however, there are chapters that you fight in, and some that are just cutscenes. So more or less both stories will take about the 3-4 hour mark to clear as you mentioned. The game's story isn't that long though, however, you have to beat both Story modes to have the entire base roster unlocked and other modes locked between story too.

Okay, if the whole undies thing is just something done for the story cutscenes, that makes sense, even if it is a little disappointing.

Thanks for the info about the story mode though. Between the short single-player content and the apparently buggy-as-hell PC port, I think I'll wait for a bit of a sale. I appreciate the detailed reply!

That aside, first thing I noticed in demo (and still not changed in full release) was that junketsu/senketsu transformations were heavily nerfed compared to the anime, no boob physics or @ss shot or anything, just a shortened version of it. I dont know how you miss that considering they dont have the limitations of 2d drawing.

I'm not sure if it's real censoring, laziness or actual incompetence from the studio, I really wanna believe it's the latter since they'll probably still say "game not censored".

I think that it's beacuse to keep up quick pace of the game. After all, it's a fighting game and transformation sequence gets a little dull. Even in anime they shortened it up in later episodes

Would be valid if it was shown plenty of times during story but thats not the case here.

Well, if it's out of laziness, it's a static model with no boob physics.
