So is there actually online multiplayer?

I'm pretty confused because i keep reading different things everywhere, like on the official site it says that there's no online multiplayer on the steam version, while on steam it is among the features of the game, and it looks like nobody actually knows since it just got out.
I saw that there are 2 unlockable game modes but i can't manage to get to that point in under 2 hours of playing so i would be really glad if someone who already got there could tell me if there actually is online multiplayer since otherwise i will just refund it and buy it on the switch.

Multi, as well as other modes, are kinda broken. Players experience problems with crashing etc. I'm sure multiplayer will be working when it's patched.... If it will be patched

Yeah, there is. Player Match and Ranked Match. I haven't found a Player Match lobby yet but only searched once. I can get into Ranked Matches fine though.
