I didn't realize it until my friend who loves Dead Space said it was about aliens who affected humanity's evolution until consumption, at which point they yse the planet as a seed to go to other worlds and repeat.

My weeb brain after his explanation could not help itself from thinking "this sounds like a horror Kill la Kill" and it all just clicked.

To sums it up:

Uniform give power, but some special uniform suck blood and are very revealing (revealing just like high female armor in an MMO), the more you are ashamed to wear the armor the weaker it is, it was used as humoring MMORPG armors and fan services but it also means one of the message the anime want to spread is: Don't be ashamed of your body and be proud of who you are, don't care what people say about you.

Pretty much been answered time and time again, but that's what the anime is like. A ton of characters get special uniforms sewn with special cloth called "life fibres" and the stronger characters have uniforms that transform, 2 of them being kamui, the strongest uniforms, which is where you start getting the half naked characters, though the other ones that can transform do get upgrades that make them half naked too, near the end of the anime.

At the end of the anime, the protagonist absorbs all life fibres that are left, leaving everyone nude... just... watch it if you want. Explaining it just makes it make less sense

My favorite part of kill la kill is when ryuko and senketsu have to find that DAMN fourth chaos emerald to stop the life fiber ark.

But yeah its like gurren lagan staring Shadow the tomboy, so like a less whiney simon other then the occasional "this is who I am" and fewer robots.
