[Solved/No Longer An Issue] 2 Problems With The Controls

Edit: For whatever reason, reformatting my computer solved the problems.

ORIGINAL POST:
I cannot change the controls when using my Xbox 360 controller. I had no problems using this controller with Gundeadligne, and being able to configure it.

The game constantly presses up, so my character will continuously be moving upwards. Another topic suggested that there might be a controller plugged in and it is holding the Up button continuously down, but this happens even when all my USB ports are open. I am also unable to use any of the Up arrows, controller or keyboard in the menus. I have to cycle through everything for the highlighted option to go back to the top.

I tried manually editing the config file, using Sara's instructions within the config file. But there was no luck. I tried running in Windows XPSP3 compatibility mode. Normally my computer is using Windows 7.

I tried reinstalling and I tried Verifying The Game Cache.

I downloaded the demo from Desura and I am running into the same problems on that version as the Steam version.

Other people I know are not running into either of these problems.

Any help?

To be able to change your keybinds you have to open gundrec.ini thats in the game folder and set "Keyboardmode=1" to "Keyboardmode=0". Well that fixed it for me atleast

I checked, and Keyboardmode=0 was already there. Thanks for throwing out another suggestion, I wasn't expecting to see a response 7 months later. :)

Between my original post and the suggestion today, I had reformatted my computer. The controllers work now. I have no idea what fixed it.

All 3 games now work perfectly.
