Gundemonium Recollection

Gundemonium Recollection

What does the community think of Gundemonium/s?
I realise I'm probably just shouting into the void at this point - but as I say in the title- I was just wondering how this title was received in it's various incarnations?

I can't remember how I got my key originally - it might have been a bundle or just a cheap key where the 'cover art' got my interest - but when I got the game a couple of years ago it had already been delisted on Steam.

As an old bloke I grew up in the age of shmups but they were never my bag. I was really into R-Type and the Megadrive/Genesis version of Insector X back in the day but it was never 'my' genre. Then I play Gundemonium Recollection and I'm introduced to bullet hell and all the related mechanics and I'm hooked.

Definitely helped along by that incredible remix of the soundtrack by DM Ashura - it 'forced' me to battle on even with the intense difficulty (for a noob). I got into the Souls games mid 2010s and this game provided a similar experience - almost overwhelmingly challenging but the aesthetics and 'feel' kept me pushing on.

Anyway - gushing over(!) To my original point - I watch YT channels such as Shmup Junkie and Electric Underground and a few others - I never hear this one mentioned - which is such a shame.

Sadly nobody really plays the game anymore, let alone for score...
beside some quick hump and dump 1CCs from newer players :blissful_creep:
You can still find some hardcore fans of the series, feel free to add me on steam :happy_creep:
Ports are quite good, I like the new additions, truly a labor of love.

STGweekly and other peeps covered some of the games in the past:
