So you do not have a talisman and have no way to outrun / take a different path around her somehow? However it is really important to use the save rooms as often as possible.
If you do not have a talisman try obtaining one before getting the music box.
She will however appear after the cutscene inevitably. She will appear at that point because you got one of the key artifacts needed to destroy her i would say. She will do so on other key findings as well. I think save rooms will also be blocked until you outran her and reached a fireplace.
I am not sure anymore but one talisman was in a drawer of some furniture in the room. There is also a map with locations of most of the items in game which you might want to use. Because they are really scattered across the whole place which indeed makes things a bit tedious from time to time.
I loaded a previous save about 30 minutes back and it fixed the bug, she didn't spawn right away in the hallway blocking my only path, but instead spawned in the other half of the hallway letting be take a right and outrun her to get to a fireplace. The talisman don't spawn until after the first artifact is found and the talisman spawns in with it, thus showing the player that the talisman can be used to ward her off for a time.
Since getting past this bugged area i've found 4 talisman and was in the upper upstairs part of the mansion using a key obtained from burning the first artifact.
I would still advise you to save as often as you can - literally every time you got something or about to go and get something. It might be a bit annoying but you get used to it and it will make your like a lot easier when something goes wrong. Also the save rooms are a good anchor in navigation and are placed in fair locations for almost all tasks in the game.
Best of luck with the game.
