How long is this game?

Hey everyone.

So, I already own the game as I purchased it to stream for a stretch goal for my Extra Life campaign this year. However, I'm trying to figure out how long the game is as I try to do my horror streams in one sitting if I can but can only do that up to a point.

I assumed that since most indie horror games are only 3-10 hours, that this would be similar. However, I checked HowLongToBeat.com and I'm seeing 18.5 hours there (!!!), though it's only based on 3 submissions, which isn't a good measure. I see 6.5 hours is the average play time on SteamSpy but that's just play time, not time to finish.

Does anyone have an idea? I just want to know if I need to split this up into more than one stream.

Up to 30 hrs of gameplay...it depends on how good you are in navigation and puzzles! It's pretty long for a walking horror aim...but perfect!!! I really like the game and the search style!

Took me about 17 hours to beat it. And I consider myself slower than most people; I take my time sucking up the atmosphere ;)

Oh boy, so that HowLongToBeat post was probably accurate. My goal with my Extra Life stretch goals is to play them in one sitting each. This one might be tough to do that with. :)

I see that you have not started playing "The Dark Occult" yet. I'm on it now and love it. Very spooky ghost house feeling and soundeffects. Im almost up in 9 hours gametime on the game and i got many things left to do. In my tempo i think 25-30 hours. I take my own time in gaming worlds searching and drinking the atmosphere.

I also see that you got no gametime in Alien: Isolation. You MUST play that fantastic horror retro sci-fi masterpiece.

I haven't started the game yet no but I will be in the next couple of month as it's an Extra Life 2018 stretch goal and I have to complete all those before November, which is when Extra Life 2019's Game Day is.

I really messed up by picking a game so long. :) I try to do these stretch goal streams in one sitting but that's not bloody happening with this one. It'll have to be over several streams I guess. Oy vay. I will be aiming to complete this one quickly rather than being thorough but even then, it's looking like quite a number of hours to get through it.

You're right in that I have not played Alien: Isolation yet either. People keep talking about what a classic that is so I might add that to the stretch goal list for this year. That's another game I know is way too long to beat in a single sitting but that's not a huge deal.
