I'm a Chinese player and a bilibili fan, but this game is far away from my expection. It's just a mobile phone game but running in PC. So why not publish it on mobile phone? If you don't have a professtional device, your experience will be truly terrible. You cannot acomplishment some operations like "key slip" because it's originally a touch control game. Please anyone who has read my review trust me, do ! not ! purchase this game!

I just want to start off with: I don't understand why this game is being slammed so extremely hard. Especially by people who claim to be rhythm game players...WE HAVE A BRAND NEW RHYTHM GAME IP ON PC. WITH ONLINE PLAY. Yes the game was a bit rough on launch, but the developer honestly seems like they're making a STRONG effort to get community feedback and fixing issues that are addressed.

For those of you that are offput by the mobile game-esque design, I can understand. It feels a bit out of place. But the game runs well, it feels clean.

Man, oof, the timing windows are MAYBE (MAYYYBE) a little too tight. Boom, patched within a DAY.

No late/early markers when trying to calibrate the timing window? BOOM, PATCHED WITHIN A DAY.

So many good changes with the first patch AND MORE SONGS WITH THE VERY FIRST PATCH, A DAY LATER.

I understand the grievances, but this is looking like it could be a very impressive, strong, competitive and FUN rhythm game for PC players, and is on sale for 40% off right at launch. I can think of a lot of worse ways I've spent $8.

Devs, please don't take all this negativity the wrong way, a lot of us want to see you succeed. Good luck!

The idea was interesting and the song collection definitely attracts me.

However, the execution is just bad.
To start things off, somehow the geniuses developing this game decides to render the game at default 1280*720 window mode. And for the first time in my twenty years of gaming I was told that my ID contains offensive content, so thanks for that.
To make things worse, the game just looks like a failed mobile port, as you can quickly notice from the in-game menu. (The Chinese government stopped reviewing new games a while ago, which makes the mobile port theory even more persuasive. ) Many visual components still feel blurry even when I chose 2K and Ultra in Graphics Options. Input delay is worse than my grandma's response time and the accuracy judgement system is a joke. I don't usually talk about a game's input delay but this is garbage.

On top of that, this game is actually P2W. There is a PVP mode, and you have premium characters which could boost your abilities like score/accuracy and that kind of stuff. I have no problem with IAP song packs or characters, but P2W is simply unacceptable

This game forces you to be always-online for absolutely no reason and their server is too cheap to handle the requests, as you can see from the endless player reports of getting stuck at bootup


I stayed up until 4 AM for this piece of garbage.

FINALLY A SOLID RHYTHM GAME ON STEAM.

Once you have fine tuned the offset it feels fantastic.
Has an amazing soundtrack by New and original artists along with a mix of artists known from other music games and the Japanese Hardcore Electronic scene.

The devs are really on it about updating the game (Daily at this current point) with new content and plenty of fixes.

The game works alot like the DJMAX series but with the timing of Beatmania IIDX (Perfect Greats), but with a visual style drawing inspiration from Sound Voltex. Some songs even make use of the camera much like SDVX for some crazy charts.

INVAXION offers many competitive modes too, along with a skill ranking system similar to Dan-Ranking in Beatmania or Skill Analyzer from Sound Voltex.

used to be good but the servers are dead, impossible to play offline too, so the game is basically unusuable except if you want to listen to the main lobby music for hours, refund would be great

A fun, competitive rhythm game with great song selection. The game had a rough launch with players being unable to get into the games servers even though forced through the game being always-online, despite that these problems seem to have been fixed through patches.

There are many negative reviews but most of these came on day one and for problems that have been fixed already (apart from always-online).
Personally I really enjoy the game and the developers seem to really want to make a better game, always asking for player feedback and ACTUALLY implementing the features you suggest. I sent an email with features they could implement and got a response from them saying which features would be implemented and what they're considering, showing they do listen.

If the developers keep updating the game it can turn out to be a really good competitive Mania game, just needs more songs and harder difficulties.

A lot of the negative reviews did not seem to look into the game at all before purchasing.

The game is tough because even hitting a note with a "Good" will deplete your HP. So you want to hit "Just" or "Maximum." Once you realize this and get the hang of it the game gets a lot easier.

You can turn off screen effects such as shaking in the options menu.

There are a ton of modes here, you have a ranked mode which you will work your way up into higher rankings.
Challenge mode where you will compete with opther players to be in the top 100.
An arcade mdode where you will play 3 songs back-to-back.
Quickplay mode which is self-explanatory.
Cosmic Mode which starts out as basically a tutorial for the game but then later turns into a challenge mode.

There are a lot of characters to unlock and a lot of different ships which change how the beatmap looks.

OOverall it's a very fun game, but it is tough, if you don't play a lot of rhythm games already probably not the game for you. Otherwise I recommend it.

ALSO: To the one guy who called the game P2W. There is no premium currency in the game and no way to spend money other than buying the game itself. So you are just lying. But what can you expect when people leave reviews after 15 mins of gametime.....

Ignore the negative reviews, seems they were for an older much worse version. Game plays very smoothly and fluidly now even if I am a bit of a scrub at it! Good song selection and lots of content to go through, especially when you consider each song can be played in 4, 6, or 8 key mode and with 3 difficulty levels per song. If you're a rhythm game fan check this one out and don't let the negative reviews scare you off, I'm glad I didn't!

Skilled rhythm gamer here with 14 years of playing DDR/ITG/IIDX/Pop'n/SDVX/Jubeat/Project Diva/DJMax/the list goes on... I've had no issues adjusting to the game here.

Played this for several hours, here are my findings. Next 3 paragraphs contain information about calibration, skip past if you want to get to gameplay. Video for this is on Twitch at videos/351662001

This game comes down to timing, as with every other rhythm game, however the built in calibration is harsh at best. After spending close to an hour tinkering with my settings, making small adjustments, I was able to find a good calibration. Your mileage may vary with this, but what I did was enter the sound menu and turn off effect sounds. This completely removes the clap noise overlay when you press a key. Why would you do this? Simple, as you adjust the timing, the clap overlay will attempt to still line up where the game wants to think the notes are (think how in Deemo, if you calibrate outside of a certain zone, it disables the keypress noises).

After this, you're going to want to go into your offset settings, and if your setup is anything like mine, you're going to want to adjust for a negative number. After trial and error, for my specific hardware (GTX 1080/BenQ XL2411P/Corsair Void Pro Wireless), I had to swing my Sound value to an impressive -274 msec adjustment, with the sensitivity to a -21 msec. I then hit preview and listened to the beat, the preview will have the note markers on every quarter note, so just tapping your assigned key to the beat in a 4/4 pattern will give you enough feedback as to your adjustments needed. If your find you're hitting late, subtract more. If you find you're hitting early, add more.

I'm assuming that sensitivity has something to do with the clap effect, however it seems that the function is completely broken. As of 20 December, Turning the sound on seems to wreck your calibration from whatever you had it set at, causing you to miss notes. Turning sound off, combined with the above calibration methods, has moved my gameplay experience up tremendously.

There are 4 core gameplay modes at the present moment: Quick Play, Arcade Mode, Cosmic Tour, and Competition.

Quick Play: Play the songs you have unlocked on any difficulty and key combination available. Pretty straight forward, no unlocking process here.

Arcade Mode: Your standard DJ Max-style Arcade experience, You get 3 songs from a set list for each tier, changing for each tier. Complete the song and move on. Fail, and restart from the beginning. No rewards for completing these.

Cosmic Tour: This is where you'll be able to do most of your unlocks. Song and Hero locks come from here. Play the songs requested on the difficulty the game has selected, complete it, and move on. There are several planets for you to progress through here.

Competition: Compete in 3 song sets in a battle for a high score.

Gameplay wise, the game is enjoyable. It scratches the SDVX itch without having to shell out hundreds of dollars for a djDAO or a benjamin for a cheaper run model. The music selection is great, however unlocking seems to be a bit of a pain, requiring a story mode to play through. On one hand, it's not the standard unlock methods of either grinding a bunch of levels (DJ Max) or playing through every song on standard, then hard, then expert (Project Diva f/2nd, EBA/Ouendan), on the other hand, you've got to put some work in.

I'd wholeheartedly recommend this to people, bearing that you have the time and patience to deal with adjusting timing for a good 30 minutes. I mean, who doesn't do this with every rhythm game. Also, turn off the sound effects. They'll only hinder your ability to play. Trust your keyboard sounds and your inner metronome on this, watch for the thicker measure lines, and you'll be further along in calibration than anyone else.

One of the best rhythm games I've played that made me quit playing Osu!
The dev team constantly updates the game to the point where it's ridiculous (not even a complaint). Any bug that I find playing the game is fixed within a day without me having to report it, which is very convenient.
The visuals are great, both the character art and in-game things. The game runs smoothly and the customizability of everything is definitely refreshing.

This is one of the instances where I can confidently say that one should not always trust a game's overall reviews, since it is mixed right now for unbelievable reasons. I have quickly gone from 4 key to 8 key with no issues thanks to the game's great progression and tutorials. The maps are specifically designed to be user-friendly and help in a stepping stone manner when improving at the game.

While the song selection and such are somewhat limited right now, they are regularly updating the list, along with the playable characters that add more flavor to the game. This is described as a p2w experience by many users, but after having completed the campaign mode, I am left with so much in-game currency that I don't know what to do with it (I have purchased every single song and character in the store and am still sitting on a metric ton of money). All of this is free, the only real payment you make is for the game itself and given the amount of fun and hours it gives you for it, it's hard to say no to it. The few songs that are on this game however, are of extremely high quality, from known doujin artists such as Nhato, sky_delta, you, a remix of Akira Complex's popular album Connected, void and more. Since this game seems to be originally Chinese, it naturally has various Chinese artists featured. Thanks to this game, I have discovered great Chinese artists (both singers and producers) that I would listen to in my own time.

Rhythm games are popular for their steep learning curves and this game is no exception, but spending a few hours from square one to really learn the ins and outs of the game pays off massively in a short time and is sure to make the whole experience even better.

I can't wait for more updates from the hard working devs (please give us more songs!). Until then, I'll be casually playing this game as stress-relief and relaxing, which these games are ideal for.

I highly recommend this game and advise people to give it a go, despite the mixed reviews and rate it 9/10 as it is now and very possibly 10/10 given how active the devs are with the improvements.

It is also worth noting that most of the negative reviews with very strong opinions are written by people with sub 2-3 hour gameplay, which is self-explanatory.
