How to troubleshoot crash issues
Hello everyone,

This thread will show you how to effectively troubleshoot crashing problems.

In order to investigate a crash, the dev team needs from you a *.mdmp or *.dmp file, called a "crash dump". Once programmers receive the file, a fix should be included in the next closest update. You can get the dump file by checking your game installation folder, usually with the string "mc5.exe." in its name. If you can't find it, there's another method to get the dump from somewhere else more common.

First, download the package from the link below:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=14CNRWxtbcg-1wHxDNFayuow-VdRUMdt2

Run "CreateDumpFolder.bat" under Administrator, then "CrashDumps.reg". Restart your PC.

Now every time the game crashes, a crash dump will be generated at:
\Users\<user >\AppData\Local\CrashDumps\

Simply find MC5's dump file and send it to Customer Care. Steam crashes will have "mc5.exe" in the name while Windows Store crashes will have "WindowsEntryPoint" in the name.

The dev team is working on an exhaustive list of crash issues on a daily basis, but if you would like to bring a particular issue to our attention, feel free to send your crash dump to us and we will include a fix in the closest update possible.

UPDATE: The info in a *.mdmp file is more accurate than the *.dmp file, so it's best that you send this file to us and only resort to *.dmp file if the former is not available.
