Underground bugs

Sometime when im trying to dig small corridor im caves,Im falling under floor to caves below.
Is that connection bug? (I was in singleplayer)

I had a thing like that when I fell into a hole and it kinda bring me back up ... didn't understood

You should always try to dig a tunnel thats as high as your avatar. If it's a little bit smaller the game still tries to make it possible to go forward but the reported problem occurs. Your "height" should be around 8 layers I think. Make it 10 to be on the safe side (for now).

I had this issue happen to me last week while I was playing. I was carving out my base inside a nearby mountain and I just fell through the map to who knows how far underneath my base. I'v tried mining my way back up but I don't know how far underneath I am and my pickaxe just broke on me, so I'm stuck... and I can't seem to reload or anything to fix it. Help pleaseeeeeeee.

In the last dev blog, they talk what the next update will have...
and there is something about "falling through world" being fixed.

Fixed a bug causing you to fall through the world while mining

Let's hope this is this bug you have and not an other one :p

I wonder... can you activate the creative mod and then go back in your last game?
That would allow you to create a pickaxe even if you didn't have the material.
