Also, no NG+.
Shame about no NG+ though, was looking forward to upgrading the rest of my gear.
As with the endings, there's a post here about how to get each ending individually. But it does have to do with killing/sparing Deneb Algedi, and killing/sparing Taurus. This will impact with Zodiac will be your final boss, and thus the crown order will be different.
Just to clarify some information about variety of gameplay:
For the endings and story (some spoilers ahead): Deneb Algedi does not lock you in a ending. Taurus can lock you in one of the endings. Almost all spare/kill choices are relevant for the endings, that includes Cancer as well as it includes Taurus and Deneb Algedi. The game has around 100k words of dialogues, that definitely cannot be accessed on one playthrough, there's a great variety of small changes in dialogues that are accessed by choices or if the player met some criteria to access those. I think that a lot of players won't get to see all of the content I've done for the game, but there's indeed a multitude of content, you just have to keep an eye out for those, because there's many hidden stuff!
The order where you receive the crowns are dependant on your route and some other smaller choices, you have different cutscenes depending on your route or on your choices ever since the beginning of the game. You can have friendly NPCs coming to the Hub World (Akasha) or not dependant on those choices as well, which are unrelated to the endings. It's hard to explain this without giving spoilers, but there's just a wide variety of cutscenes and differences of how things play out dependant on your choices throughout the game AND of the routes you're in.
For items there's 150+ items, each of them have unique animations on each of the party members. Most of them can be equipped in all party members. Another important factor for item variety is that some items may seem "useless", but in fact that same item can have a lot of synnergy with some specific builds and be very powerful. It's a lot of trial and error on that, but I can guarantee there's definitely more content than what meets the eye.
So I think I can confirm there's a good amount of variety of gameplay on the game and it's definitely not only the endings that change (there's 3 endings and a additional bonus ending as well).
You can get from Cardinal to Mutable ending from killing Cancer and killing her allows for the Doll to go to the Hub and become a seller there
That is how I got mutable. It seems like killing cancer also can do it then if you were on the cardinal path.
