Lost option for galaxy free play mode

I completed a new hope and got the option to galaxy free play so I was going Boarding Party through Jundalands and Mos Eisley. Now I can't get back to the galaxy free play option and no map to travel between Yavin and Tatooine.. All I can access in free play mode are boarding party, Hunka Junk, then it skips to Best Leia'd Plans etc. If I go into any of the levels and bring up the map there's no option to press back for the galaxy map, no option to travel to space and no galaxy free play option on episode selection. Selecting 'Y' (on my PS5 controller in Steam) for 'Area' or 'Galaxy' makes no difference.

I've downloaded a 100% complete save file and tested by copying just the game progress file over (after backing up my save file folder of course) which works but is not a perfect solution.

Any ideas? Any way to fix my own save file and get galaxy free play back? Should I uninstall and reinstall the game (and copy back my save folder)?

The 100% complete save file also does not offer galaxy free play which makes me think it might be specific to the game files in the Steam library itself (unless the galaxy free play option vanishes once you 100% the game?).

There are times when the game just wants you to continue on to the next plot event or next mission and it will completely disable your ability to fast travel or go to other planets. It often restricts the characters you can switch to as well.

Just roll with it and advance on to the next plot event or mission. Eventually it opens up again. You can usually tell when you go to the characters and it gives you access to all of them like in Free Play.
