you need to grab those things at the edge of the path and lay them on there. thats how i did it

you can use destructible crates and all things you can pull with the force can activate buttons in grounds. I did it on my first run of the level.

in freeplay, just use 2 protocol droids and split.

Didn't even think of that... I chose to carefully place objects on the buttons and pray that the other character didn't break it or knock it over.
