Its been a while since I traveled around with one of my Capitals or the Death Star, so forgive me if I am not remembering this right, but give that a try and see what happens.
Just open the Galaxy Map while you are standing on the Hangar Deck and choose your location. You will notice that only SPACE locations are available for all the planets. Which obviously make sense since you are jumping a Star Destroyer or DeathStar which don't land in the game.
Uuhhh... You're welcome?
If I then jump to the new location in my ship, the Capital Ship is already there in orbit around the new planet location. If I land on the Capital Ship, get out of my ship and then choose a new destination off the Galaxy Map, then both the Capital Ship, my characters and my ship will all jump to the new location together at the same time. When arriving at the new planet, I am in my ship in space with the Capital Ship in view nearby.
So basically... All of this is working as advertised with no issues or bugs found.
No problem. The Capital Ship should not jump out on its own. It should stay put at the current location until you jump out in your ship. At which time, it should follow you to the new location.
In my tests, I would see both my ship and the Capital Ship in the Hyperspace tunnel as the game was loading up the new location. The only time I saw the Capital Ship jump out by itself was if I picked a new planet off the Galaxy Map immediately after leaving from the Capital Ship Hangar deck, as I described in my previous post.
I think TT games could have done a better job of handling this with perhaps a drop down menu or something that gave you more control over these various behaviors. Since the game doesn't really provide any kind of tutorial on how these various jumps work, the player is left with figuring these all out through trial and error.
There is no call out on the controller screen for the LOOP maneuver which involves hitting the left and right bumpers at the same time. This causes your ship to do a 360 degree loop, or a 180 degree half loop, pointing the nose of your ship in the opposite direction of your previous travel.
I wanted to know how to call up the 360 or 180 version on demand, but apparently, there isn't any way to pick the one you want. I've found that if you do a Loop very close to the outer deck of a Star Destroyer, you will get the 180 degree half loop most of the time. If you do the maneuver in empty space, it is pretty much the 360 degree full loop 100% of the time.
Being able to choose which loop to perform would be a real benefit for taking out an enemy on your 6 o'clock. (Hitting the Brakes hard is another good way, which causes the enemy tail to overtake you so you can blow them up when they pass in front of you) But a 180 degree half loop would turn the tables on a tail much quicker and would be a fun way to take out someone on your (6).
If anyone knows if there is a way to force a 180 or 360 every time, by all means let me know in this thread!
Ahh! So there is a way to choose between Loop types! THANK YOU!
I am assuming you meant to say BUMPERS, not Triggers right? Or is that another way to engage the loop function in addition to hitting both bumpers at the same time?
Now I've got to see how hard it is to Pull Back on my Stick at the same time I slam the two bumpers together at the same time. ;o) (I've got my joystick inverted to provide Flight Sim/Aircraft control orientation)
Fortunately, I am using an Xbox Elite Controller and I have the Bumpers also assigned to the two front underside paddles, so it shouldn't be too contorting a combo to pull off.
Thanks in advance for the clarification!
