Daily reminder that there is no FOV slider still
and the game is literally unplayable for some people. I peronally get nauseous after just 10 minutes of play and have to turn off the game. It is a shame because I would rather not refund it. Having no FOV slider in a major release of 2022 is unacceptable.

Here is an FOV comparsion between Skywalker Saga and a previous lego game - City Undercover. It really is a joke, there has never been an issue like this in a lego game before.

Also to those who think this is not an issue - try a split screen and see how bad it gets.

IMPORTANT: If you experience motion sickness, feel uncomfortable with the terrible fov in the game or would like to help those who do - you can contact the devs asking them for a FOV option via a form on their website: https://legogamessupport.wbgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

You don't have to put your real information, they never reply back anyway but the feedback supposedly gets delivered to the team still. I'm pasting a template you can use to contact them quickly - it was shared by @Papa Sid on page 4 of this thread:

Hi there, I have a small point of feedback and I hope it can be seriously considered by the team.

On behalf of the dozens of forum posts on Steam regarding the matter, I'm requesting that a FOV (field of view) slider be added to the accessibility options in The Skywalker Saga. The FOV is extremely low and the camera is very zoomed in.

Low FOV is widely known to cause motion sickness, headaches, and disorientation.

There are many people requesting this feature on the Steam forums, and for many (including myself) this is a matter of refunding the game, or even not purchasing it to begin with. I strongly believe this is a massive oversight and a serious issue. Please consider adding this essential accessibility feature to the game as soon as possible.

unplayable because the game literally makes me sick after 10 minutes of play. Just search up FOV on this forum and see how many people are experiencing the same. All those accessibility options yet no FOV slider. The devs are a disgrace.

It is unplayable indeed (for some, me included), but I doubt there will ever be an FOV slider. Maybe some mod/hack will be available at some point but not sure how well the game will handle it, some spaces are just a little tight.

Yeah man I'm holding on for a couple more days before I go through with my refund. A mod or even a hack would be good enough. Just anything to fix this ugly mess.

Imagine being so far up your ass that you can't understand some people get sick from low fov in games.

well then refund...If your sensitive to that kind of stuff. YOu should research games. No Lego game has ever had an FOV slider.

Same, I'll give it a week. Shame, I love all the other LEGO games. Maybe we'll get lucky.

Yeah man, I really would love to play this game and enjoy it to it's potential. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shame the devs choose to give us a middle finger. We can try sending them reports here https://legogamessupport.wbgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
or just spamming their twitter I guess

I bet my money I own more lego games that you have ever played. No other title has ever needed fov slider because the perspecitive and camera were completely different...

What research? The one where devs promised a ton of accessibility options? How the ♥♥♥♥ am I supposed to know what the game will be on PC before launch when there is no info on it

I wouldn't say they give us a middle finger. The other games didn't have FOV settings either. It's just that they decided to go with a really abysmal default here, for whatever strange reason.

Even in the beginning when it didn't affect me yet I didn't like the cramped view and the lack of situational awareness. It's just weird. Probably to support the (kinda pointless) new shooting mechanics.
Keks Offender Apr 6, 2022 @ 11:00am
The FOV is definitely tight, yeah. I'm having to sit away from the desk so that it doesn't bother me as much. An FOV slider would be a nice addition.
