why does this game run so badly
I've just recently moved onto Attack Of The Clones and several of the levels, like the droid factory, run at an almost unplayable FPS.

Genuinely 10-20 frames, why? what?

Is this a common problem or has my PC decided to ♥♥♥♥ itself just for this game.

The frame rate issues are not impacting everyone and in the same way when it does happen.

I myself have had ZERO frame rate issues with the game, including the Droid Factory and Ewok Village areas. My game has been nearly 100% locked at 60fps despite running in Native 4k with all the graphic quality options set to their MAX settings.

My machine isn't even state of the art anymore. Its 6 years old, but I am running a highly overclocked CPU and GPU. 6700k and EVGA 1080ti FTW3. The latest version of Windows 10 along with most recent Nvidia driver. The game is installed on my C drive which is a Samsung 950 PRO m.2 NVMe SSD.

There appears to be some bug somewhere that is impacting some users and not others in terms of performance/frame rate. For example... An RTX 3080 should not be having frame rate issues in the Droid Factory area when my 1080ti runs that area smooth as silk. Just doesn't make sense. Has got to be related to a configuration difference between those having issues and those who are not.

Omg an answer, Yes, The game has run perfectly, and with my 2060 I am getting 20fps in the droid factory mission.

So far my drops are on Droid Factory and the trench run for the deathstar.

Otherwise I'm running a solid 144fps on a RTX 2060, Ryzen 5 5600X

Your computer is a potato. Get an ice cream cone for a computer. Ice cream cone is new and fresh and brand new computer and nice and clean while potato computer is old and dusty and has seen many many years. :)

The Droid Factory has performance issues because the game uses picture-in-picture (It shows the other characters on screen in a bubble) this causes huge performance drops as it's basically having to render the scene twice.

Not really an issue with the game, they should have just used another option like showing the other characters with just an icon.
The game has issues with NVIDIA Radeon cards for whatever reason. I also got huge drops in the droid factory with my 1070 GTX at 1080p (not the best card, but I can run other games fine).

Edit: Also the whole picture-in picture being the reason why the level doesn't run well makes no sense because one of the episode 7 levels has it too and I haven't seen any slowdown.

Ewok village is just as bad as Droid Factory, and since thats a Hub level, theres no picture in picture either.

RTX 2070 here.

I believe the droid factory is also a very busy map with a lot of moving parts which might also contribute to the frame rate issues. Lowering my resolution seemed to help a bit, but made my game look very blurry and low rez, which it technically was at that point. :pinatapoop:

Sadly my system is getting a bit old and meets the minimum graphics requirements so I kind of expect some issues with performance. I'm keeping my eye out for a suitable upgrade but am taking my time, so far. :8bitheart:

Except that you only need to lower the resolution for that one bit.
