Where to view my CD Key?

I can't find an option to view my CD Key in steam.
Right click on rage brings up the normal context menu but without any option to view the cd key.

open your game box and look inside the box for a label
sti - rage - nor (this is idiots joke by somebody and isn't part of serial code NOT INSERT IT)
xxxxx - xxxxx - xxxxx (this is number and letter and must by insert a space at side of - )

code must by write in this way
xxxxx(space)-(space)xxxxx(space)-(space)xxxxx

Heh yeah, the thing is. A friend bought 2 copys of the game. Told me one cd-key over the phone and i installed in steam. Now he wants to send me the box but we dont know which one is mine and which one is his anymore. Thats why i would like to see the cdkey i entered.

for rage its in the manual on the back or somthing or inside just look through it

Read post #2 again BeLiaL33. I allready entered a cd key. We have 2 copys (so 2 cd keys) of the game and i want to know which one i entered when i installed the game.

did you try going to START> then type in the search run(in START> regedit Then search for the game File you should find everything there its the regestry editor PWNS, hope it works!

just type "regedit"

hadn't any luck seraching the registry for "rage", "id software" or "bethesda". I only got some keys under HKCU\Software\Valve\ but they seem to be for different games, since rage has the steam app id 9200 and there's no registry-key with that name.
