Problems running Rage [solved]

Hi,
I didn't use to have any problems running Rage but now it seems I do.

If I start up the game with the 2nd option (64bit with mods) it goes through all the intros but eventually just lands on a black screen and never proceeds.

If I start up the game with the 1st option (Play Rage) it starts up fine but there is no mouse cursor, where as there is a mouse cursor if I try to run it with the 64 bit with mods option.

Anybody experience this and know how to fix it?

I have problems too my friend. I choose the first option, campaign, intro start and... black screen and return to Windows... sad... very sad...

Edit I guess all it took was a restart of the game to be able to get my cursor back in the non 64bit version of the game. My guess is that it must have something to do with the dual monitors and configuring the game to play on one of them it didn't push the mouse over to that screen but after a restart of the game it does now.

Okay, well I guess I just didn't wait long enough for the 64bit option of the game, eventually the game started, took about 2 minutes or so, although it still is missing the mouse cursor in the non 64 bit mode.

I'm guessing it has something to do with using 2 monitors as it seems in 64 bit mode the cursor is locked into the game screen, where as in the non 64bit version the mouse is locked out of the game screen over on my 2nd monitor.

I just had my mouse not show up after it had been working fine before. 32bit not 64bit version. Restarted my computer and now it's back again. Must be something other than dual monitor issues since I'm just using 1 monitor. Who knows...
