Can I replay specific scenarios to collect more feltrite?

Early on in the game I sold all my feltrite so I could afford some sniper ammo. Now some guy wants 20 pieces and after going back to most of the bandit locations I can't find enough. If I use the 'Replay Scenario' option, will it let me collect more and not mess up my game progress (I'm just doing the last few side missions before I head to Subway Town)? If it will work, which scenarios would be best to replay in order to get 16 pieces?

I'm afraid not. At certain points you may get lucky and have a 'meteor shower' where a bunch of feltrite crystals fall from the sky as you drive around the Wasteland. Hang on to those and you may get 20. Should also be more crystals to find in upcoming missions. I wouldn't worry too much if you are unable to finish this side quest as the bonus is relatively minor. Your defib will recharge a bit faster after use.

I did a couple of the meteor fall minigames but I must have sold the felrite too. The last time though I completely messed up and just sat there watching them fall in the distance. I probably would have got enough if I'd tried. Oh well. Back to the beginning.

That's the beauty of conversing with as many people as you can throughout the game. One guy tells you at the beginning of the game to NOT SELL feltrite crystals because they can serve a more useful purpose.

If you complete all side missions and get as many feltrites from those meteor showers you should accumulate almost 50 feltrite crystals by the end of the game.

I really need to pay more attention when I'm gaming. I have a habit of dismissing messages without reading them and if I have music on then I don't always listen to what characters are saying.

I've been blasting through the game from the beginning and by the end of the 'collect as many feltrite as you can' minigame I had 44! The mission 'Finding Feltrite' mission completed as soon as I accepted it!

Icehandz is right. It's Phallinx who tells you to keep the Feltrite, but only to trade it for "something really good" (getting the Double-Defib upgrade from Jacob after giving him 20 Feltrite).

Oh, and you get your first 2 pieces right there by the old Refinery near the Outrigger Settlement.

I saved all my feltrite this time and even after giving the 20 away I've still got about 30 left so I probably would have made it without restarting. Oh well.

If you go back to Wellspring after completing the Capital Prime mission, you can do the Scorchers missions and find even more hidden Feltrite Crystals. Hell, I ended up getting somewhere around 60 pieces of Feltrite, between the 2 Feltrite Storms, 1 Feltrite Tempest (that's after getting the ID-drive for Captain Marshall), and exploring all of the areas from the various missions (including those found during the Scorchers job path)
