Unlimited cash from minigames
Is anyone else bothered by the fact that you can get limitless cash by playing the minigames? I actually try not to play them too much because it feels like cheating.

It would make a lot more sense if there was a cap on how much money you could make from each minigame. After a certain amount won (maybe $500 at most), the card dealer should say, "You've cleaned me out. From now on we'll just play for fun." That could even be an achievement: Clean Out the Card Dealer. Same for the other minigames. After all, you wouldn't expect these guys in the bar to be sitting on endless cash.

actually dude, it's strongly recommended to play the mini-games (especially the Tombstones and the video poker one in Jackpots) when you first arrive in Wellspring to stock up on ammo, weapons, armor, and ingredients early (especially when playing on the Nightmare and Ultra-Nightmare Difficulty levels)

I've played through the game on Ultra Nightmare difficulty, and to me the extremely limited cash is part of the challenge. It forces me to choose my ammo and upgrades carefully ("do I really need that shotgun extender right now?"). It also gives me incentive for doing the side quests ("I can't survive the next mission without an armor upgrade, but I'm $400 short, so I'd better take some job board missions to raise money") .

To me, part of the definition of hard core gaming is that you are always on the verge of going bankrupt. You should have just barely enough cash to get the items you need to survive, but no more.

What challenge? Cash only allows you to use every weapon and engineered item to make the game more interesting and makes it possible to use different tactics. It allows you to use inefficient, but fun aproaches.

The most effective ways of dispatching enemies are also very cheap cash-wise. Pop-rockets, wingsticks, some pulse ammo later on. You win.
