... No, it's an FPS with a time manipulation gimmick. From what i've heard it's pretty decent, but at this point waiting for a sale might be prudent.
I think Borderlands is more similar to it than any of the games you mentioned. Everything in your list is very linear or has small explorable levels.
Rage has vehicles and a large world to explore as you go around accepting missions... much like Borderlands.
rage is an inbetween of doom and borderlands, its not THAT open. but it's fun as hell.
you're thinking of anomaly? singularity is a fps game by raven software, An amazing games dev who made hexen 2! another amazing game. nowadays they're delegated to doing cod dlc. I wonder how much of the old blood is still left at raven.
Because I already played Borderlands 2 I bought Fallout 3.
It better be good ;)
And i thought Quake 2 was WWWWAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY better than Quake 3......mostly because of the maps.....quake 2 had great stock maps, and way better community maps.....god i miss the days of quake 2 DM.
and the original "Quake" still holds up to this very day
Sure, if you like a story/atmosphere heavy RPG with terrible FPS mechanics.
*facepalm*
